Introduction

We became curious about a rare aspect of the Spirit of the God of Israel in a particular Bible study. I thought I could look this information up, and have an answer. When I went to search regarding the Spirit of Yehovah, I was quite surprised to find far more texts in the Bible than what I had thought. I also found that translators had translated multiple and diverse Hebrew words into one English word. Thus, I knew I needed to find and categorize the character and work of the Spirit of Yehovah. That is this document.

 

When I saw that this would be a rather large book, I determined to do one chapter as if it were a book, and set it on the web. I also realized that some might find this subject boring. (Theological research is too often boring; writers make it so.) I knew I could not permit this to occur. My comments will include observations that are related to texts in question, and are somewhat lighter than the texts and the technical aspects (which I will definitely include). Perhaps Erik will even draw pictures for these sections.

 

Chapter 1: Descriptions of the Spirit of Yehovah

Where the Spirit Has a Name

Matthew 28:18 And Yeshua came. And He spoke unto them saying, “All power is given unto me in the heavens and in earth. 19Therefore, go ye and teach all races, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you! And behold, I am always with you unto the end of the age! Faith!”

 

Yeshua didn’t say “names” as if the Father, Son and Spirit had separate names, but name (singular) as if they have one Name. If this is the case, what is that Name? It is given in the following text:

 

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hearken, Israel! Yehovah, our Gods, Yehovah, is One!

 

This points out Yehovah as the Father.

 

It then points to our Gods, which is our Elohim, as Prince Metatron, the Prince Middle-of-the-throne found in the most Orthodox High Holy Days prayer book, also known as the Prince of Faces, referring to Yehovah’s faces. Thus, this Messiah, Who is Messiah Yeshua, is the very faces of Yehovah. He is often called Yehovah of Hosts, which is Yehovah of Armies.

 

Finally, it points to Yehovah Who is the Spirit, since Yehovah is a Spirit. Thus, the Spirit of Yehovah has a Name. Referring to the Spirit of God as ‘it’ is rather disrespectful. (Some folks want ‘it’ to fall on them! I have sometimes wished that ‘it’ would!)

 

Where the Spirit Has a Sword

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might! 11Put on the whole armour of God so that ye will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the heights! 13Therefore, take the whole armour of God unto you so that ye will be able to withstand in the evil day—and having done all, to stand! 14Stand, therefore, having your loins girded about with Truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace—16taking the shield of faith above all by which ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked! 17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God), 18always praying in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching unto this with all perseverance and supplication for all saints 19and for me, so that utterance will be given unto me, so that I will boldly open my mouth to make known the mystery of the gospel 20for which I am an ambassador in bonds—so that I will boldly speak in this as I ought to speak.

 

I was going to say that Paul used a lot of run-on sentences. Then I remembered that Paul was a prophet. A (true) prophet quotes Yehovah. Thus, I would have been saying that Yehovah used a lot of run-on sentences. Of course, the entire Hebrew Bible consists of run-on sentences! If God uses them, children who are learning to write could also use this as an infallible reason for using them! So, we had better keep this secret.

 

The text above states that the Spirit of Yehovah has a sword, and it identifies that sword: the Word of God. Another text almost corroborates this:

 

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow. And it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

 

It is sharper than any two-edged sword. Swords can kill. (They also can be worn on belts.) They don’t have to be used to kill, however. The sword that the Spirit of Yehovah employs divides soul and spirit. A person’s soul is the real person (it’s the real thing), where the personality and character are found. The spirit of a person is what the person radiates—the invisible, but detectable ‘atmosphere’ that a person brings (like an aura, but not so spooky). It is also what a person speaks, since it comes with the person’s breaths. (Folks who like garlic really have a strong spirit.) When the Spirit of Yehovah divides the soul and the spirit, a death occurs (since the spirit that Yehovah gives every living creature is what provides life for that creature). If Yehovah gives a new spirit to that deceased soul (and not just another spirit, as He did with Saul who became King Saul), that person is now a new creation.

 

Joints and marrow are similarly related. Marrow is where blood cells are made. (This is called Haematopoiesis; say that twenty times. Do you suppose that the name Chaim was an abbreviation of this?) Joints are directly connected to the bones, and they are not easily disconnected—certainly not without doing terrible damage.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah is able to do surgical division without which there would be no possibility of Salvation.

 

(Some folks think their Bibles are the Word of God, and they use passages from the Bible to cut up their relatives, enemies, and even a few friends. They are like chimpanzees with unsheathed scalpels in a full boys’ locker room after swim class. They may think they are a cut above, but in truth they are just untrained whittlers.)

 

The Seven-Fold Spirit of Yehovah

Isaiah 11:1 And a twig will exit from the stump of Jesse. And a shoot from his roots will fruit. 2And the Spirit of Yehovah will rest upon him—Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, Spirit of Counsel and Valiance, Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of Yehovah. 3And His fragrance is in the Fear of Yehovah!

 

The above text defines and describes the seven-fold Spirit of Yehovah as in a Menorah (the seven-branched oil lamp):

 

 

 

The central shaft is the Spirit of Yehovah with each shaft described from there. The other branches are:

  • Wisdom

     

  • Understanding

     

  • Counsel

     

  • Valiance

     

  • Knowledge

     

  • Fear of Yehovah.

     

Plenty of folks claim to be filled with the Spirit. I have often wondered which spirit has filled them. I didn’t notice that anyone had bottled wisdom, understanding or knowledge, and these folks definitely had no excess of these. They couldn’t give counsel that was unusually clever; they didn’t demonstrate remarkable valiance; and few of them ever showed even a nominal fear of Yehovah. Thus, I concluded that they were filled with the spirit, but I didn’t know which pub they used. (One who is filled with the Spirit of Yehovah won’t need to claim to be; what they do and say will be far above what is normal and what is genius. I do find hearing folks make the claim of being filled very entertaining, however. Being able to brag about something is what some folks need.)

 

Another text refers to the Spirit of wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of God:

 

Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Yeshua and love unto all the saints, I also 16don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers 17that the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, will give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened.

 

Both wisdom and knowledge are mentioned in this text, two of the branches of the Menorah mentioned above.

 

I appreciated the expression, “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened.” I know I have met some pretty dim folks with sun glasses.

 

The remaining verses in this section directly refer to the seven Spirits of Yehovah.

 

Revelation 1:4 John—to the seven congregations that are in Asia: “Grace be unto you, and peace from Him Who is and Who was and Who is to come, and from the seven Spirits Who are before His throne…”

 

This tells where the seven Spirits of Yehovah are located! Of course, the Spirit of Yehovah is omnipresent (present everywhere, though I have been to some places where I got the impression He didn’t make Himself obvious), but He is in the form of They in this text! This must be Their home base (for now)!

 

Revelation 3:1 And write unto the messenger of the congregation in Sardis: “He Who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says these things: ‘I know thy works—that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.’”

 

One being, Yeshua, has the seven Spirits of God. Therefore, if anyone has the Spirit of Yeshua, that person will certainly demonstrate at least one of those seven Spirits. Really.

 

Revelation 4:5 And lightnings and thunderings and voices proceeded out of the throne. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

 

The Menorah truly represents the seven Spirits of Yehovah! This Menorah gives light! (How can folks radiate darkness? That isn’t possible! It is just common.)

 

Revelation 5:6 And I beheld. And behold, a Lamb as it had been slain stood in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, having seven horns and seven eyes that are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

 

The seven Spirits of God do reconnaissance! These Spirits are part of the Lamb (Yeshua). No wonder He knew everything… well, except for one thing. There is one thing He doesn’t know:

 

Mark 13:32 But no man knows of that day and that hour—no, not the angels that are in the heavens, neither the Son, but the Father.

 

Can you figure out what this unknown is, and why He wouldn’t know that?

 

(I used to be called four-eyes; it wasn’t because those saying it figured I knew so much.)

 

The Revelation 5:6 text also mentions seven horns. I have proposed that horns refer to governmental authority. (I watched nature programs. I could see that species of animals with horns use them to determine who will win the present election. While only two voted, the horns broke the tie. The leader was the governmental authority in the group.) If the seven horns refer to the seven Spirits of Yehovah as the eyes do, the seven Spirits will also rule as governments, in and over governments. The Spirit of Yehovah is a seven-pointer!

 

Chapter 2: Personality of the Spirit of Yehovah

The Spirit of Yehovah does have a personality. Each category listed next will consider one aspect of His personality.

 

Where One Can Blaspheme the Spirit

Matthew 12:31 “Therefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men. But, the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men! 32And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man—it shall be forgiven him. But, whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him—neither in this world nor in the world to come!”

 

What part of personality does this show? If the Spirit of Yehovah didn’t have a personality, ‘it’ couldn’t be blasphemed. (When was the last time you heard someone blaspheme a telephone poll?) Only living beings can be blasphemed.

 

Why is the Spirit of Yehovah so sensitive regarding blasphemy? He takes insults of Him very seriously since He is the One who alone is responsible for bringing anyone into Salvation!

 

How can one blaspheme the Spirit of Yehovah? I know of the following ways:

 

Saying that the Spirit did or said something that the Spirit didn’t do or say blasphemes Him. (This is a popular pastime in some 501-C-3 organizations.) Folks hear these lies about the Spirit of Yehovah, and His reputation is being smeared! That is blasphemy.

 

Saying that the Spirit didn’t do or didn’t say something that the Spirit did do or did say blasphemes Him.

 

Insulting the Spirit of Yehovah blasphemes Him. This can be accomplished in several ways. One way involves the obvious: saying nasty things about the Spirit of Yehovah. Folks don’t do this too often, but some do. Another isn’t as obvious, but it is just as blasphemous. When a person claims to be filled with the Spirit of Yehovah, then behaves like a regular person (you know, sinning on occasion, not speaking or doing some work of God infallibly, and not tipping well), that is blasphemy in action.

 

Now, I admit that most folks have the wrong God and the wrong ‘Holy Spirit,’ but they don’t know that. They associate their wrong God and wrong ‘Holy Spirit’ with the Biblical one. That is also blasphemy—against the real One, of course.

 

I am convinced that folks are spiritually safer in Kroger on Sunday morning. Blasphemy of the Spirit of God is unforgivable. (I didn’t initially write that; if you don’t like it, the address is 777 Central New Jerusalem; In the Heavens Until the Millennium, Jacob’s Ladder.)

 

Mark 3:29 “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.” 30For they said, “He hath an unclean spirit!”

 

They did a boo-boo; it was a no-no. One who fears Yehovah will be very careful, remembering,

 

Matthew 10:28 “Fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna!” (Gehenna is a descriptive location that refers to the Lake of Fire and Sulfur.)

 

Luke 12:10 “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him. But it shall not be forgiven unto him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit.”

 

Do you think He was serious, recording it three times?

 

Where the Spirit Can Be Mistreated

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment do ye suppose he shall be thought worthy who has trodden the Son of God under foot and has counted the blood of the Covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

 

If anyone can do despite unto the Spirit of Grace, the Spirit of Grace can be mistreated. A few readers of the Bible might already know that one can mistreat Yehovah by mistreating an Israeli, since He identifies with Israelis in many places. In the opposite manner, treating an Israeli well is treating Yeshua well, according to Matthew 25:31 and following. (Did you really think that text was about feeding the poor, hungry, starving children of the world? Tell me, where are their parents’ gods?) The Spirit of Yehovah is sensitive to what humans and angels do. He remembers!

 

Where the Spirit Can Be Resisted

Acts 7:51 Ye hard-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! Ye do always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so do ye!

 

The Spirit of Yehovah can be resisted. That doesn’t mean that the Spirit of Yehovah can be overcome by the resistance. Resisting the Spirit of Yehovah means that the persons doing the resisting will be overcome if they don’t come over! The Spirit of Yehovah will win, but He doesn’t do as much forcing as some folks would like to think.

 

Simple disobedience by violating Biblical righteousness is a good way to resist the Spirit of Yehovah. (If you don’t know what Biblical righteousness is, sit down, open up a good version of the Bible—one written before 1615, and read Genesis. You will find it near the beginning of the Bible, often just after the table of contents. You can read through Genesis in about two days, if you are in a hurry. By the time you are done, you will have a very good grasp on Biblical righteousness as long as you remember that the Saints are the good guys, and they did right. If you get confused, and you think Esau is the good guy, you are reading too fast. That can cause spiritual indigestion.)

 

Where the Spirit Doesn’t Speak of Himself

John 16:13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all Truth. For He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak. And He will show you things to come.

 

This text describes several aspects of the Spirit of God:

  • He is the Spirit of Truth
  • He will be coming
  • He will guide those who fit the pronoun you into all Truth.
  • He will not speak of Himself.
  • He will speak what He hears.
  • He will show those who fit the pronoun you things to come.

 

Our one focus is on His silence about Himself. He refuses to be the focus in the plan that He is instituting. Thus, anyone claiming to speak the words of the Spirit of God and speaking about the Spirit of God will be easily identified as a liar.

 

The focus today in some congregations is on the Spirit of God and not on things to come. They show their relationship to the Spirit of God in this way! (Of course, that relationship is head in the sand.) He will also guide into all Truth. Thus, I don’t think He attends many churches. (I don’t even think He’d like the music.)

 

Where the Spirit is Against Something

Galatians 5:16 I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary one to the other so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law (Teaching). 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like of which I tell you in advance as I have also told in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23humility, self-control. There is no law (Teaching) against such. 24And they who are the Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah lusts against the flesh. Since lust in the Bible is neutral (inherently not bad, inherently not good, but rather a very strong desire of any kind), it therefore isn’t automatically a sin. The Spirit of Yehovah doesn’t sin. He does have a fervent lust against ‘the flesh’ (referring to what is described later: “adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like”). This describes His zeal against both the behaviours and the persons doing the behaviours!

 

Lust is very strong. It draws, distracts, and brings very strong reactions. Anyone who is participating in this list is on the Spirit’s Hit List. Those who live according to the flesh lust against the Spirit! They fervently desire to do one or more of that list:

  • Adultery
  • Fornication
  • Uncleanness
  • Lasciviousness
  • Idolatry
  • Witchcraft
  • Hatred
  • Variance
  • Emulations
  • Wrath
  • Strife
  • Seditions
  • Heresies
  • Envyings
  • Murders
  • Drunkenness
  • Revellings
  • and such like

 

Thus, the two (the Spirit of Yehovah and those who follow the lust of the flesh) are at enmity: they are enemies.

 

The Spirit of God therefore has preferences since He is against these things and those who do them. What are your preferences? Do you prefer the married church secretary?

 

Where the Spirit is an Emotional Person

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the land. 2And the land became chaotic and a mess. And darkness is upon the faces of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim brooded over the faces of the waters.

 

Elohim is the plural form of god/God, and means gods/Gods. Deciding whether the gods/Gods is/are the right one(s) depends on the texts and whose side the reader is on. This Elohim is the Good Gods. (Good God!) He has the Spirit we are discussing. His Spirit is a person. If His Spirit were not a person, but some kind of force (as the so-called ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses’ claim), ‘It’ could hardly brood. Since ‘He’ broods, and since that word indicates a type of depression along with sadness and other emotions, He is an emotional person.

 

Genesis 6:3 And Yehovah said, “My Spirit shall not always fight with man—for that he is indeed flesh. Yet, his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

 

The Spirit of Yehovah has fought with man. The fight is over who will rule. Humans don’t like Yehovah’s rules. They want to make their own gods! (Yay!) That way, they can put words in the mouths of their gods, and bless each other, make priests, and collect tithes. (Yay!) Yet, because humans are flesh, they are also mortal. Yehovah doesn’t have a permanent fight with them. They will bite the dust. They don’t care that He created them; they choose to not believe that. Thus, Yehovah diminished the lengths of their lives. Why should He tolerate their sin and stupidity for nearly a thousand years? He cut it down to 120 years on the average, then later cut it down some more. That way, they don’t have as much time to build up their stock of damnation. Their everlasting sufferings will be ‘less’ than they might have been given more time to build up more sin! (There are degrees of damnation.) (Thus, the next time you feel like saying, “Damn you,” add the degree with it!)

 

Where the Spirit is Liberal

Psalms 51:12 (51:14, Hebrew) Turn the delight of Thy Salvation to me! And the Spirit of Liberality will support me!

 

This Spirit of Liberality can refer to the speaker’s spirit, or it can refer to Yehovah’s Spirit. Since this spirit supports, I understand that it refers to Yehovah’s Spirit.

 

Liberality is always good in the Bible. (Some folks don’t like liberals. Political liberals often support raising taxes to give some of that revenue to folks who have disadvantages. Thus, they believe in being liberal—generous with public funds.)

 

Yehovah is liberal in one respect: He gives! (What He gives is His own to give.) Thus, one who has Yehovah’s Spirit will likewise give, including laying down his or her life (as Messiah did), if that is necessary. (Living and giving beats dying and giving unless the only way to save lives is to die to save them.)

 

Where the Spirit Can Be Grieved

Ephesians 4:30 Grieve not the holy Spirit of God by which ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31All bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking shall be put away from you with all malice! 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven you for the Messiah’s sake.

 

This is a warning to the Ephesians as a group. The Spirit of Yehovah can be grieved. (If He is grieved at funerals, it usually won’t be because of the body in the casket, the flowers, the music, or the price of the casket.) This text tells what grieves Yehovah’s Spirit. When a body of truly born-of-God Saints exhibits one of the following among the group, He is grieved:

  • bitterness
  • wrath
  • anger
  • clamour (outcry)
  • evil speaking
  • malice

 

These will get folks killed during times of great trouble. Refusing to permit these, and doing the following will tend to life:

  • being kind to each another
  • being tenderhearted to each other
  • forgiving one another.

 

Some translations use the word repent in a strange way:

 

Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

 

Genesis 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

 

There are 38 more texts using this translation. The word behind this faulty rendering is nakhum, meaning to grieve followed by taking action for or against. Sometimes Yehovah grieves because of sin, and He strikes out. Sometimes Yehovah grieves because His property is being mistreated, and He saves His property and subdues or destroys enemies of His property. Both of these scenarios are more examples of the Spirit grieving. (It doesn’t grieve the Spirit if you don’t read your Bible every day; feel guilty about something real.)

 

Where the Spirit Loves

Romans 15:30 Now I beseech you, brethren, that ye strive together with me in prayers to God for me via the Lord Messiah Yeshua and via the love of the Spirit.

 

“The love of the Spirit” can refer to one of the following three:

  • the Spirit’s love (that the Spirit demonstrates toward others)
  • the kind of love that the Spirit can give
  • the love that an individual can have toward the Spirit of God.

 

Since this text is a request that a group will do something via two powers (one being the Lord Messiah Yeshua and the other being the love of the Spirit), only the first of the three makes sense. The Spirit of Yehovah loves.

 

Where the Spirit is Tempted

Acts 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, “How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of Yehovah? Behold, the feet of them who buried thy husband are at the door! And they shall carry thee out!”

 

I don’t think that tempting the Spirit of Yehovah is such a good idea. It just doesn’t sound healthful.

 

Have you wondered why the Spirit of Yehovah isn’t doing things like this today? He did this with two who were Saints (they were born of God). Yehovah doesn’t see sins that Saints do in the same category as sins that non-saints do; any sin of a Saint will bring the great anger of Yehovah, whereas He often waits and waits to bring judgment on non-saints. If you know that this is correct, answer the question: Why isn’t the Spirit of Yehovah doing things like this today? If you correctly form a conclusion, you will conclude that either there just aren’t that many Saints or there aren’t that many sinning Saints (who always tempt Yehovah if they sin).

 

Where the Spirit is Vexed

Isaiah 63:10 But they rebelled. And they vexed the Spirit of His Holy-[One]. He therefore flipped-over to be their enemy! And He fought against them!

 

This is similar to tempting the Spirit of Yehovah. The Israelis were not Saints; they didn’t have to be to obtain the Torah’s (the Teaching’s) blessings. All they needed to do was obey the Torah. They didn’t; they refused to do right; they vexed the Spirit of the Holy One of Yehovah (the Messiah). The Spirit of Yehovah therefore flipped over to be their enemy. (He didn’t change; they refused to change.)

 

Where Something Seems Good to the Spirit

Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things.

 

The Spirit of the Holy One has views about what is good and what is not good. This shows that He has personality. (Smart folks do what seems good to this Spirit; other folks just ain’t that smart.)

 

Where the Spirit Speaks

2 Samuel 23:2 The Spirit of Yehovah spoke by me. And His word was in my tongue.

 

If the Spirit speaks, He has a personality. (If He were programmed, He would be a robot; that doesn’t fit Biblical descriptions of Him.)

 

The Spirit of Yehovah can place His word in a human’s tongue. That way, the human can infallibly speak what the Spirit places. (A prophet is only a true prophet if he always infallibly speaks when he is prophesying. One wrong statement (something Yehovah didn’t say), and he (or she) is a false prophet regardless of his average.

 

Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17But beware of men! For they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues. 18And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak. For it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father Who speaks among you.”

 

This is no text for individuals; it is only for groups to which the text pertain. (Yeshua was speaking to the Israelis at the time. Many very good and very erroneous sermons are based on reading and using texts without identifying pronouns. The sermons sound good! They give hope! They give certainty! They give lies! Amen!)

 

These Israeli groups will be caught, tried, scourged, and brought to testify against governors and kings, and the Gentiles. The Spirit of Yehovah their Father will speak among them; they don’t need to coordinate their answers beforehand. Both the power of their words and the coordination will be quite shocking to these folks. (There won’t be any fighting over the color of the carpet.)

 

Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak. And don’t ye premeditate. But whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, speak ye that. For it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

 

This text gives more information along the same lines, warning not to premeditate. (Does this eliminate far-eastern pre-med students? Transcendental Meditation will do no good in this circumstance.)

 

Acts 1:16 Men brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit previously spoke by the mouth of David concerning Judas who was guide to those who took Yeshua.

 

David was a prophet. The mouths of all true prophets speak what the Spirit of Yehovah says.

 

All Scriptures are quotations of the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Some folks ignorantly claim that a pastor/preacher/evangelist is a prophet. Since these folks also claim that they know a pastor, preacher and/or evangelist who is called by God, they are also ignorantly claiming that these leaders infallibly speak. Yet, ask them, and they will claim the opposite—that they occasionally say things that are not infallible while pasturing, preaching, and/or evangelizing. They errantly define a preacher as a forth-teller, which they also use as the definition of a prophet.

 

I am not against infallible preachers, teachers, pastors, evangelists, etc.; I think they are a great idea! The Bible certainly describes some! I will not believe preachers, teachers, pastors, evangelists, etc. who are not infallible; I hate part-time ‘truth.’ Anyone who fears the God of the Bible will agree with my sentiments.

 

As for these folks who claim a calling of God on their lives and who enter into the profession of preacher, teacher, pastor, evangelist, writer of commentaries, etc. and who don’t do their calling with total infallibility, either their god is too weak to consistently empower them or their god has a standard below that of the Bible. In either case, they need to switch gods. (Maybe they will find the right One.) On the other hand, they may have already blasphemed the Spirit of God, in which case they will never be convicted to turn to Truth.

 

Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, “Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.”

 

The Spirit of Yehovah can give very specific directions!

 

Acts 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, “Behold, three men seek thee.”

 

Acts 11:12 “And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. And these six brethren accompanied me. And we entered into the man’s house.”

 

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to Yehovah and fasted, the Holy Spirit [better, Spirit of the Holy One] said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work unto which I have called them.”

 

I made a note above explaining that the expression “Holy Spirit” is meaningless to most readers. It should be rendered, “the Spirit of the Holy One.” The word holy means owned. It means no more than that, and it means no less than that. Every spirit that exists is owned. Therefore, “Holy Spirit” describes every spirit. The “Spirit of the Holy One,” on the other hand, describes just one Spirit belonging to the One Who is owned (by Israel: the Holy One of Israel, a reference to Yeshua Himself). Thus, this Spirit belongs to Yeshua: the Spirit of Yeshua.

 

Acts 21:11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle. And he bound his own hands and feet. And he said, “Thus says the Spirit of the Holy-[One], ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owns this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

 

Another text shows the relationship between prophecy and Yeshua:

 

Revelation 19:10 The testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy.

 

Thus, all true prophecy is what Yeshua is testifying. Yeshua is the Holy One of Israel. Thus, all true prophecy is what the Holy One of Israel is testifying.

 

I used to attend Bethesda Missionary Temple in Detroit. It was a fully charismatic church, having prophets prophesy during the morning and evening services. I found this church an exciting place to attend. Baptisms were often scheduled for the evening when the lights could be lowered. Some of these folks would come up from the waters of baptism with such movement, that they would splash the choir folks seated beneath the baptismal glass! It was great! We also had a guest speaker who was filled with the spirit. His name was Jim Jones, glory to god! (He did like Kool-Aid!) I liked to hear the prophecies. I had a problem, however; I wasn’t hearing one that gave me a specific event at a specific time. After I noted that, the next Sunday I listened with care. The service started out just as exciting as it normally did. The choruses were used at the beginning, and folks raised their hands, going into their spiritual stances. Then, the normal prophet prophesied! He said that the Spirit of God would be poured on Detroit, and by next year Detroit would be a city of peace and love by the Spirit! I was hearing a prophecy that was very specific with a very specific timing! I waited. The year came and went. Detroit was just the same as it had been. (If a child is murdered in Detroit, it doesn’t even make a headline. It is part of the ambiance.) The leaders of the church never noticed! The same liar continued to prophesy, and the same liars in the pulpit gave the same smiles of approval for the spirit-filled prophecies! Everyone was so happy, glory to G-D!

 

Acts 28:25 And when they didn’t agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word: “The Holy Spirit well spoke by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers…”

 

I must again state that claiming to be a prophet by the Spirit of the Biblical God is blasphemy of that Spirit if it isn’t true.

 

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils…

 

He also speaks expressly (that is, He directly utters the words).

 

Hebrews 3:7 Therefore, as the Spirit of the Holy-[One] says, “To day if ye will hearken-to His voice…”

 

The Spirit of Yehovah says to hearken to His voice (referring to the voice of Yehovah the Father/Messiah Yeshua the Son).

 

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, he will hear what the Spirit says unto the congregations. [Likewise, find the following texts: Revelation 2:11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22.]

 

The Spirit of Yehovah says quite a bit at various times!

 

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from the heavens saying unto me, “Write! Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth!” “Indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labours! And their works do follow them.”

 

The Spirit of Yehovah converses along with others in the heavens. He cares about folks resting from their labours. (I never heard anything like this in the churches I attended.)

 

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hearkens shall say, “Come!” And he who is athirst shall come. And whosoever will, he shall freely take the waters of lives.

 

The Spirit and the bride [Jerusalem] are talking in concert, inviting folks to come. Those who have ears to hear will do exactly that during the Tribulation. Their destination will be Mount Zion. (If you think I am dreaming or crazy, you haven’t carefully read the Bible, or you just don’t believe it.)

 

Chapter 3: Who Owns the Spirit of Yehovah

Where the Spirit is God’s or god’s

Genesis 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom is the Spirit of the gods?

 

Pharaoh didn’t believe in Yehovah. He acknowledged a number of gods (all idols). He did recognize one collective spirit in his gods, and he understood that Joseph had that spirit. He was partially right; Joseph had the Spirit of the Gods (Elohim). (A lot of folks are partially right.)

 

Exodus 15:10 Thou blew via thy Spirit. The sea covered them! They sank as lead in the mighty waters!

 

The Spirit that belongs to Yehovah blew, causing the sea to cover the bad guys. (Which wind blows over the TV and radio airwaves on Sunday morning, and on Christian radio throughout the week?)

 

1 Peter 4:14 If ye are reproached for the name of Messiah, happy are ye! For the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon you. He is evil spoken of [badmouthed] on their part, but He is glorified [demonstrated as important] on your part.

 

The Name of Messiah is Yeshua, meaning Salvation. The text is telling the Israelis that they are happy if they are reproached for Salvation, for saving folks from death. This will be fulfilled during the Tribulation.

 

Both Glory and God own the Spirit of Yehovah. Those in this group of Jewish Saints will be showing the importance of the Spirit of Yehovah when this is fulfilled. (What do you demonstrate as important in your ‘spiritual’ life?)

 

Chapter 4: Body Parts Described as Being Part of (or Not Part of) the Spirit of Yehovah

Where the Spirit Doesn’t Have Flesh and Bones

 

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself! Handle me, and see! For a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones as ye see me have.

 

Perhaps you will find this obvious. It still needs to be stated. The Spirit of Yehovah doesn’t have flesh and bones, but He does have the power to appear with flesh and bones if He desires. (I know of no case where the Spirit of Yehovah did this.)

 

Where the Spirit Has a Mind

Romans 8:27 And He who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit. For He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

 

The Spirit has a mind. (Some portray Him as if He lost it.) The One who searches the hearts makes intercession for the Saints by knowing the mind of the Spirit. Thus, that intercession is infallible.

 

Where the Spirit Has Wings

2 Samuel 22:11 And He rode upon a cherub. And He flew! And He was seen upon the wings of the Spirit.

 

Psalms 18:10 And He rode upon a cherub. And He flew! Indeed, He flew upon the wings of the Spirit!

 

So, your translation says wind instead of Spirit? Does wind have wings? Will wind conduct the Messiah in His arrival? (A lot of folks give wind a great deal of credit.)

 

Psalm 104:1 Bless Yehovah, my being! Yehovah my Gods, Thou very-much biggened! Thou dressed honour and majesty! 2He enveloped light as a garment. He is stretching heavens as a curtain, 3the Encounterer of His chambers in the waters, the Putter of clouds His chariot, the Walker upon wings of Spirit. 4He made His messengers spirits, a fire of flame His ministers.

 

Keep in mind that the same word meaning spirit also means wind. Which is right in the above text? I cannot give proof for either case, so I will continue to see if other texts might help.

 

Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.

 

Luke 3:22 And the Spirit of the Holy-[One] descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him. And a voice came from the heavens that said, “Thou art my beloved Son! I am well pleased in thee!”

 

John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove. And He abode upon Him.

 

If the Spirit descended like a dove, and a dove has wings, the Spirit descended as if He had wings.

 

Where His Lips have a Spirit

Isaiah 11:4 And He will judge poor ones via righteousness. And He will correct via straightness for humble-[ones] of land. And He will smite land with the staff of His mouth! And He will kill the Culpable-one via the Spirit of His lips!

 

This is a slight switch! The Messiah has lips, and the Spirit that comes out of His lips will do some slaughtering!

 

Chapter 5: Various States of the Spirit of Yehovah

Where the Spirit is Double-Portioned

 

2 Kings 2:9 And it came to pass when they were gone over. And Elijah said unto Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for thee before I am taken away from thee.” And Elisha said, “I pray thee, a double portion of thy spirit will be upon me.”

 

This doesn’t appear to have much to do with the Spirit of Yehovah. Yet, the Spirit of Yehovah came upon Elijah, and that is what empowered Him to infallibly prophesy and do miracles. When Elisha asked for a double portion, he was requesting a double portion of the Spirit of Yehovah that had come upon Elijah.

 

I have met very few with as much as a one-tenth portion.

 

Where the Spirit is Eternal

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Messiah (Who offered Himself without spot to God through the Eternal Spirit) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

 

The only Spirit that is eternal (always existing and being the same without end in both time directions) is the Spirit of Yehovah. Being everlasting is different; anything that is everlasting may have a starting point, and is without end. (Have you heard an everlasting sermon when you looked forward to a good lunch?)

 

Where the Spirit is Good

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do Thy will. For Thou art my God. Thy Spirit is good! Lead me into the land of uprightness.

 

This good isn’t just an editorial; it is a state of being. The word good used this way describes some aspect of Yehovah:

 

Mark 10:18 And Yeshua said unto him, “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but One: God (Elohim)!”

 

Thus, if someone states, “I have a good preacher!” imagine what the person is saying!

 

Where the Spirit is One

1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

 

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.

 

These texts together indicate the One Spirit of Yehovah. (He shows Himself as seven Spirits because He is able to do so, and much more. After all, He is everywhere at the same time!)

 

Where the Spirit is Omnipresent

Psalm 139:7 To where will I walk from Thy Spirit? And to where will I flee from Thy faces? 8If I will be transported-to heavens, Thou art there. And I have spread Sheol. Behold Thee! 9I will lift wings of morning! I will abide in the afterward of a sea. 10Also, Thy hand will guide me there. And Thy Right has grasped me!

 

There is no place where the Spirit of God isn’t.

 

Some ignorant folks think that damnation is everlasting separation from God. They are wrong. Damnation is being in the faces of Yehovah and His Spirit without end. The fire in the Lake of Fire and Sulfur is the fire of His wrath. The Lake is for baptism.

 

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, 10the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God that is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation! And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever! And they have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.”

 

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But He Who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire 12Whose fan is in His hand. And He will thoroughly purge His floor and gather His wheat into the garner, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire!

 

Have you been baptized? He will attend your baptism!

 

Chapter 6: When the Spirit of Yehovah is Described As an Item

Where the Spirit is a Covering

Isaiah 30:1 “Woe to the rebellious children,” says Yehovah, “who take counsel—but not from me, and who blanket-cover with a blanket-covering, but not from my Spirit, in order to add sin upon sin.”

 

I don’t see too much pleasure being expressed in this text. These Israelis are categorized in the following manner:

 

They are rebellious;

 

They do a counsel, but they don’t take counsel from Yehovah;

 

They set up an artificial, non-functional covering (for sin, for uncleanness, etc.);

 

What they do isn’t Yehovah’s Spirit, the only real Covering;

 

They add sin-sacrifice upon sin-sacrifice (instead of diminishing sin);

 

They seek strength and aid from any other source without asking Yehovah’s mouth (including one of His prophets).

 

(While this is about Israel, does this sound familiar? Incidentally, how are modern churches, denominations and non-denominations run?)

 

Where the Spirit is a Fragrance

Isaiah 11:3 And a twig will exit from the stump of Jesse. And a shoot from his roots will fruit. 2And the Spirit of Yehovah will rest upon him—Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, Spirit of Counsel and Valiance, Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of Yehovah! 3And His fragrance is in the Fear of Yehovah! And He will judge—not to the appearance of His eyes. And He will correct—not to the hearkening of His ears.

 

The word fragrance, Hebrew word for Fragrance, heriakh, is directly related to the word for Spirit. Thus, the fragrance that He will radiate will smell like the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

(I have always smelled a rat when I heard tithing pitches.)

 

Where the Spirit is a Witness

 

Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things, and so is also the Spirit of the Holy-[One] Whom God has given to them that obey him.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah is a witness. Obviously, there will be a trial.

 

Acts 20:23 …save that the Spirit of the Holy-[One] witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

 

Paul knew that he would be arrested. The Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua witnessed this in every city. The Spirit didn’t tell Paul to go in another direction, but stated what would happen to him.

 

Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua will bear witness with the common spirit of this group that its members are children of God! (This is a Tribulation promise fulfilled at that time.) Imagine what it would be like to go to a church or a Messianic congregation, and find all, including the pastor/rabbi/priest, born of God! “I can only imagine…”

 

Hebrews 10:15 …the Spirit of the Holy-[One] also is a witness to us.

 

He does a lot of witnessing! (The text doesn’t describe how He does it for this group, but He does.)

 

1 John 3:24 And he who keeps His commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And we know by this that He abides in us—by the Spirit that He has given us.

 

This is another group text! This abiding in us is abiding among us (where us refers to Israelis during the Tribulation).

 

1 John 5:6 This is He who came by water and blood—Messiah Yeshua—not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit Who bears witness because the Spirit is Truth. 7For there are three who testify: 8the Spirit and the water and the blood. And the three are in agreement.

 

The Spirit bears witness because the Spirit is Truth. Who can be a better witness?

 

Where the Spirit is a Down-Payment

2 Corinthians 1:22 …Who has also sealed us, and given the Spirit’s down-payment in our hearts.

 

That down-payment is the Spirit of Yehovah! Us in this text are the Israelis. The same is true in the next text:

2 Corinthians 5:5 Now He who has worked us for the selfsame thing is God Who also has given unto us the Spirit’s down-payment.

 

Where the Spirit is a Remnant

Malachi 2:15 And didn’t He make one? And the remnant of Spirit is to Him! And what is the One the seed of Elohim seeks? And ye shall be guarded via your spirit! And He will not ‘treacherize’ in the woman of thy youths!

 

This text mystified me. But when I saw the texts above this section, it made some sense. I propose that the remnant is akin to a down-payment: not the whole, but part waiting for the full sum.

 

Where the Spirit isn’t Ink

2 Corinthians 3:3 Ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Messiah ministered by us—not written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God—not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

 

The Spirit of the living God is a pen writing on the fleshly tables of the heart (mind). Now, that is accurate information!

 

Where the Spirit is Life

Romans 8:10 And if Messiah is in you, the Body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

 

This is another group text. You are the Roman Saints. The Body that is dead because of sin is that group with Israel as its core (to which all who become Saints are added). That Body won’t be dead forever; events in the Tribulation (you guessed it) will see the reversal, when the Body comes alive—when it is finally sanctified and cleansed.

 

The Spirit of Messiah is life even in that presently dead Body. (Righteousness and life have everything to do with each other. See what happens by reading Matthew 25:31 to the end of the chapter.)

 

Where the Spirit is Truth

1 John 5:6 This is He who came by water and blood—Messiah Yeshua—not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness because the Spirit is Truth.

 

Though this text was cited above, it also shows that the Spirit is Truth. Can you see how much it insults the Spirit of Yehovah when folks claiming to have that Spirit lie, falsely prophesy, preach sermons that contain a mixture of Truth and error, teach false indicators of Salvation, and/or live normal, part-time-sinful lives?

 

Where the Spirit is Yehovah

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now, Yehovah is that Spirit. And where the Spirit of Yehovah is, there is liberty.

 

This may be obvious, but it still needs to be shown.

 

Chapter 7: When the Spirit of Yehovah is Described as Having a ‘Source’

Where the Spirit is of Glory

 

1 Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Messiah, ye are happy! For the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon you. He is evil spoken of on their part, but He is glorified on your part.

 

Just as this text is describing the Spirit of God, it is also describing the Spirit of Glory. Glory, then, is a person. (Glory means importance in such texts.)

 

Where the Spirit is of Truth

John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father. And He shall give you another Consolator so that He will abide with you forever—17the Spirit of Truth Whom the world cannot receive because it doesn’t see Him and doesn’t know Him. But ye know Him because He dwells with you and shall be in you.”

 

The Spirit of Yeshua is the Spirit of Truth. (That only makes good Biblical sense.)

 

John 15:26 “But when the Consolator, the Spirit of Truth Who proceeds from the Father (Whom I will send unto you from the Father) is come, He shall testify of me.”

 

John 16:13 “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, He shall speak that. And He will show you things to come.”

 

(I told you that these texts are about the End Times! Perhaps you didn’t believe me!)

 

1 John 4:6 We are of God. He who knows God hearkens to us. He who is not from God doesn’t hearken to us. We know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error by this.

 

This is how children (yes, during the Tribulation) will be able to distinguish between enemies and friends. (1 John is a letter written mainly to children who will live during the Tribulation. Yehovah guaranteed its delivery, printing it in the Bible, so that copies will be available at that time. That is quite a postal delivery!)

 

Where the Spirit is of His Mouth

Psalm 33:6 Heavens were made via Word of Yehovah and all their host via Spirit of His mouth.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah is also the Spirit of Yehovah’s mouth. Thus, the Spirit of Yehovah infallibly reflects what Yehovah says. Every false prophecy is making Yehovah out to be a liar. Every building used to speak false prophecies is a building used for unclean and vile purposes. As unclean as a whorehouse is, it is no worse than a church building in which false prophecies are condoned. No one can be a false prophet and be born of God at the same time. No one can be a pastor of a congregation in which false prophecies are spoken and be born of God, let alone be called of God. (Some ‘services’ are quite entertaining, however! Those ‘services’ certainly beat some of the boring ones that put almost everyone to sleep with partial truth, preaching the same sermons in a cycle not all that different from what produces the ‘filthy rags’ of Isaiah 64:6.)

 

Where the Spirit is of Revelation

Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Messiah Yeshua, the Father of Glory, will give unto you the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him…

 

This text refers to the Spirit of Wisdom, but it also refers to the Spirit of Revelation. Wisdom is a person. That gives me evidence that Revelation is also a person. This is another ‘source’ of the Spirit of Yehovah—that is, Wisdom sends the Spirit of Yehovah; this Spirit is also sent to reveal.

 

Does it seem strange that the Spirit of Yehovah will reveal error and those who err? Does it appear to you, reader, that I am on a tirade against churches, pastors, priests, messianic rabbis, evangelists, preachers, teachers, and others who claim connection to the Oldest Profession? I have very great respect for those who have truly been called to preach, pastor, teach, prophesy, evangelize, and give the Truth of the Word of God, often at the risk and loss of their lives. They are great, but they are also very rare. There are very few in any specified generation, and they seem to be far fewer at the present time.

 

I also have due respect for those who claim these professions, having been approved by groups, governments, etc., though not approved by the God of Avraham, Isaac and Jacob, since they, too, provide a great service. Humans do much better if they have anchors for their souls even if those anchors will do them no good after this life. If falsely based religions were destroyed, the chaos and violence that would follow would be akin to what happened just before the flood in Noah’s day, and to what has happened among many in the Union of Soviet Socialists Republic, the U.S.S.R. Because many had no anchor for their souls, they had no morality or ethics, since both morality and ethics always assume a god. Without a god, morality and ethics cannot exist. Agreements among humans can exist, but there is no greater authority upon which to hang morality or ethics. Thus, I show deference for all leaders of religions except those who are shown to be totally vile in their selfish pursuits of uncleanness. I know that Yehovah has raised up all leaders among humans; therefore, I fear Yehovah. I still can state what I have learned from the Bible about their error, yet show them respect because they are leaders. Yehovah will take them down in His time.

 

I do enjoy a Pot Luck dinner at church. The food is often very good!

 

Where the Spirit is of Yehovah’s Nose, and Has a Soul

2 Samuel 22:16 And they saw splittings of a sea. The foundations of the planet shall be exposed via the rebuke of Yehovah from the Soul of the Spirit of His nose.

 

Psalm 18:15 (16, Hebrew) And they saw splittings of water. And foundations of the planet were exposed from Thy rebuke, Yehovah, from the Soul of the Spirit of Thy nose!

 

Yehovah’s nose is often associated with anger (since one Hebrew word for anger refers to the nose). The Spirit of Yehovah’s nose is the same Spirit of Yehovah.

 

These texts also show that the Spirit of Yehovah’s nose has a Soul! Indeed, Yehovah is a Soul (since the soul is the location of the real person, the personality, the character, the mind).

 

Where the Spirit Might Be Yehovah’s, the Person’s, or False Gods

Many texts fit into this category. I will consider each one, concluding what the source of the Spirit is if I am able. I will draw evidence from each text itself and from other texts if necessary.

 

Exodus 35:21 And they came—every man whom his heart carried him and everyone whom his spirit ‘liberalized’ him. They brought an elevation of Yehovah to the errand of the Tent of Appointment and to all His slavery and to garments of the Holy-[One].

 

This one requires only a little thought. Spirit could easily refer to either one: the person’s spirit that became willing, or Yehovah’s Spirit Who prodded the person to become willing. Yet, “his heart” and “his spirit” show that the person is in mind. (A literal rendering of the text certainly helps in this pursuit.)

 

Numbers 14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him and has followed me fully, I will bring him into the land whereinto he went. And his seed shall possess it.

 

Was this the spirit of Caleb? Was it the Spirit of Yehovah? The text describes it as another spirit, leaving the reader to figure it out! Whatever spirit Caleb had, Yehovah appreciated it!

 

Numbers 27:15 And Moses spoke unto Yehovah, saying, 16 “Yehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall set a man over the congregation 17who will exit before them and who will enter before them, and who will lead them out and who will bring them in. And the congregation of Yehovah will not be as sheep that have no shepherd.” 18And Yehovah said unto Moses, “Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit. And lay thy hand upon him. 19And set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. And give him a command in their sight. 20And thou shalt put from thine honour upon him. And all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be obedient. 21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest who shall ask for him after the justice of Urim [Lights] before Yehovah. They shall go out at his word, and they shall come in at his word—he and all the children of Israel with him, and all the witness.”

 

Which Spirit is this? I think you can tell.

 

2 Kings 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

 

Was this truly Elijah’s spirit, or was it the Spirit of Yehovah on Elijah? If it had been Elijah’s spirit (and Elijah was now dead), this would have been quite an occult phenomenon! Rather, it was the Spirit of Yehovah that had been given to Elijah, and that now was also given to Elisha to do ministerial work in the same fashion as Elijah. Thus, it gave the same symptoms as the Spirit on Elijah.

 

Daniel 4:8 But at the last Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar according to the name of my god and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods, came in before me. And I told the dream before him saying, 9 “Belteshazzar, master of the magicians! Because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubles thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen and his interpretation!”

 

What would this king know about the spirit of the holy gods? Yet, the king knew that there was just one spirit in all the holy gods! He identified Daniel as being possessed (filled is the same thing) by this spirit, since this spirit was in Daniel. Readers of the Bible who believe the Bible can determine that this is the Spirit of Yehovah, the Spirit of Elohim (Spirit of Gods) as the Bible explains, but the king didn’t necessarily know this. Daniel wisely didn’t correct the king; he served the king.

 

The following texts refer to more of the same.

 

Daniel 4:18 “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now thou, Belteshazzar, declare his interpretation, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation, but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.”

 

Daniel 5:11 “There is a man in thy kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. And in the days of thy father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods was found in him whom King Nebuchadnezzar thy father—the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers 12Forasmuch as an excellent spirit and knowledge and understanding, interpreting of dreams and showing of hard sentences and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now, Daniel shall be called. And he will show the interpretation.”

 

(The word spirit in “an excellent spirit” does refer to Daniel’s spirit.)

 

Daniel 5:14 “I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.”

 

This king certainly had no clue about the real Gods, Yehovah. He associated Daniel’s spirit with all his own false gods.

 

Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

 

Was that “excellent spirit” the spirit of Yehovah, or the spirit of Daniel himself? Every person has a spirit, and every person portrays and radiates a spirit. What we call a mood is really a radiation of our spirits. Daniel was preferred because of his personal spirit, not because he had “the spirit of the gods” in him. Even if another had had the spirit of the gods, that person would not have been preferred without having a personal spirit that was excellent to the king.

 

Mark 2:8 And immediately when Yeshua perceived in His spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, He said unto them, “Why reason ye these things in your hearts?”

 

Did Yeshua have a separate spirit from the Spirit of God? This text declares that Yeshua perceived that they reasoned. He would have had no reason to perceive, had He been using the Spirit of Yehovah. Thus, Yeshua had His own spirit, while He also had and commanded the Spirit of Yehovah, and was commanded by the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Mark 8:12 And he sighed deeply in His spirit. And He says, “Why does this generation seek after a sign? Faith, I say unto you, there shall no sign be given unto this generation!”

 

This again shows His own spirit.

 

Mark 14:38 “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation! The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”

 

This is another ‘group’ text (in which the object is a group, not individuals). This text also has a specific timing.

 

Which spirit is ready? Is this the Spirit of Yehovah that is ready? The Spirit of Yehovah never has to be classified as ready. This spirit and flesh belong to this group, not to Yehovah.

 

I have not seen a congregation act as a group in this manner. Congregations have acted in concert on rare occasions, but those occasions are normally during a crisis and the period of the crisis is limited. Most churches are more like miniatures of the countries and cultures where they exist. If the churches are in a democracy or republic, the churches will reflect that type of government. If the churches are in dictatorships, the churches will reflect them. This text describes a group that isn’t working by committee or dictatorship.

 

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of fathers upon children and the disobedient to the Wisdom of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for Yehovah.

 

Does this “spirit and power of Elijah” refer to the Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua? If it did, the text would have been differently worded: He shall go before Him in the Spirit and power of God. Since that isn’t what it says, it isn’t what it means.

 

Luke 1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing unto Israel.

 

Did he wax strong in the Spirit of Yehovah? This text didn’t say that. The Spirit of Yehovah doesn’t wax or wane. Yochanan’s own spirit grew strong. He was fervent for those things for which he was zealous.

 

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with Wisdom. And the Grace of God was upon Him.

 

This text refers to Yeshua. (Don’t overlook the differences between this text and the one referring to Yochanan [John].)

 

Luke 10:21 In that hour Yeshua rejoiced in spirit. And He said, “I thank thee, Father, Lords of the heavens and the land, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babies. Even so, Father—for so it seemed good in Thy sight.”

 

He rejoiced in His own spirit, though He was and is God.

 

(This event was at the returning of the seventy. They had great ministerial success having been appointed to go to the places where Yeshua would be going. They were given great powers, and they used them. Yeshua was very pleased.)

 

Luke 23:46 And when Yeshua had shouted with a loud voice, He said, “Father, I commend my spirit into thy hands!” And having said thus, He gave up the Spirit.”

 

John 19:30 When Yeshua therefore had received the vinegar, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head. And He gave up the Spirit.

 

Did He give up the Spirit of Yehovah? That would be unreasonable. He yielded His own spirit that had been given Him for mortal life. He died.

 

John 4:23 “But the hour comes—and now is—when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth! For the Father seeks such to worship Him. 24God is a Spirit. And they who worship Him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

 

This case is the most difficult yet. Truth can refer to the person (Yeshua) or to the state (what is recognized as factual before Yehovah). If Truth is Yeshua, spirit could be that of Yehovah.

 

Consider the text’s descriptions. First,

 

“the hour comes.” This speaks of a future event.

 

“The hour… now is.” This speaks of a current event. Whatever this describes, it was happening in Yeshua’s day, and will be happening in an unspecified future event (I quickly figured out the timing).

 

A worshipper is one who prostrates [lays down flat, face-down] before another.

 

A true worshipper also prostrates, but doesn’t feel forced or advantaged by the act; this person really means it (whatever the purpose of the prostration).

 

These true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit: their very breaths and actions will be prostrations before Yehovah. This won’t be feigned.

 

They will also worship the Father in Truth. They will be the ones who survive this future period, and will personally and physically see God (the Father) and prostrate before Him.

 

The Father seeks such to worship Him—it is as if He is the One delighted by them. They will be the heroes and heroines of the Tribulation!

 

Since God is a Spirit, and is thus normally invisible, those who worship Him must worship in a way that a Spirit can see and appreciate: in spirit—with the actions and with the very breath they breathe; but that doesn’t stand alone. They must also worship Him in truth, since this Spirit doesn’t appreciate lies.

 

How will this be accomplished? The widows, orphans and sojourners of Israel in the Tribulation whom these folks will help, often protecting them by prostrating over them or beside them to save their lives—those folks will be Yeshua’s property. Doing this for them will be doing it for Yeshua. Prostrating before them will be prostrating before Yeshua. He counts it that way! (See Matthew 25:31 to the end of the chapter, if you haven’t already carefully read it.)

 

John 11:33 When Yeshua therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping that also came with her, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.

 

In whose spirit did He groan? He groaned in His own spirit.

 

John 13:21 When Yeshua had thus said, He was troubled in spirit. And He testified. And He said, “Faith! Faith! I say unto you that one of you shall betray me!”

 

In whose spirit was He troubled? It was His own spirit. I propose that the Spirit of Yehovah is never troubled. I know that He is outraged and grieved, but I propose that He is not troubled as we understand being troubled.

 

(Have you ever been troubled while listening to a supposed ‘man of God’ say things that you knew weren’t true?)

 

Acts 6:10 And they were not able to resist the Wisdom and the Spirit by which He spoke.

 

This text tends to show an external source of His Wisdom and Spirit. It may not be the case, but the Wisdom of God and the Spirit of God is strongly implied.

 

Acts 17:16 Now, while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

 

Whose spirit was stirred? Paul’s spirit in Paul was stirred. The Spirit of Yehovah doesn’t need to be stimulated.

 

Acts 18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit. And he testified to the Jews that Yeshua was Messiah.

 

Again, this refers to Paul’s own spirit being squeezed. The Spirit of Yehovah isn’t squeezed.

 

Acts 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of Yehovah. And being fervent in spirit, he diligently spoke and taught the things of Yehovah, knowing only the baptism of John.

 

In which spirit was he fervent? He was fervent in his own spirit. (The King James version had this, “and being fervent in the spirit,” as if he was fervent in the Spirit of Yehovah. The wording is more akin to “being spiritually fervent.” The Bible will be very specific when it speaks of the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Acts 19:21 After these things were ended when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, Paul purposed in the spirit to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

 

I could easily understand this case in this way: “Paul purposed via the Spirit to go to Jerusalem.” The rest of the verse eliminates this, however; Paul stated, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.” Paul determined to go in his own spirit. That doesn’t eliminate the Spirit of Yehovah’s influence on the mind of an individual, but if the text will indicate this, the indication will be very clear.

 

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of ‘sonshipment’ by which we shout, “Abba!” “Father!”

 

The coined word sonshipment means to become true sons and daughters. It is not the same as adoption, which is a legal and guardianship term.

 

The spirit of ‘sonshipment’ is akin to the spirit of bondage because it is what the group breathes and lives. The spirit of bondage is terrible; the spirit of ‘sonshipment’ is exhilarating. This isn’t the Spirit of Yehovah, but it is exciting.

 

I have taken the following text set, separated it into bullets to show the various parts, and underscored the ‘spirit’ section:

 

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us:

  • whether prophecy: according to the proportion of faith,
  • 7or ministry: on ministering,
  • or he that teaches: on teaching,
  • 8or he that exhorts: on exhortation,
  • he that gives: with simplicity,
  • he that rules: with diligence,
  • he that shows mercy: with cheerfulness.
  • 9Love shall be without dissimulation.

 

Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good, 10kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love preferring one another in honour,

  • 11not slothful in business,
  • fervent in spirit,
  • serving the Lord,
  • 12rejoicing in hope,
  • enduring in tribulation,
  • continuing instant in prayer
  • 13distributing to the necessity of saints,
  • given to hospitality.
  • 14Bless them who persecute you: bless and don’t curse.

 

15Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep, 16of the same mind one toward another.

  • Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate.
  • Be not wise in your own conceits: 17recompense to no man evil for evil.
  • Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
  • 18Live peaceably with all men if it is possible—as much as lies in you.

 

19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place unto wrath. For it is written, “‘Vengeance is mine! I will repay!’ says Yehovah.” 20Therefore,

  • if thine enemy hunger, feed him;
  • if he thirsts, give him drink. For thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head in so doing.
  • 21Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

 

7:1Every being shall be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God! The powers that be are ordained of God.

 

This text is again addressing a group. I propose that being fervent in spirit has to do with the spirit of the group: being spiritually fervent. It has nothing to do with being religious; it has everything to do with portraying a life-saving zeal instead of becoming fearful and defeated.

 

1 Corinthians 14:12 Even so ye—forasmuch as ye are zealous of spirituals—seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the congregation. 13Therefore, he who speaks in a language shall pray that he may interpret. 14For if I pray in a language, my spirit prays but my understanding is unfruitful. 15What is it then? I will pray with the spirit and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 16Else, how shall he who occupies the room of the unlearned say “Faith!” at thy confession when thou shalt bless with the spirit, seeing he doesn’t understand what thou art saying? 17For thou faithfully confesseth well, but the other is not edified. 18I thank my God, I speak with languages more than ye all! 19Yet I had rather speak five words with my understanding in the congregation so that I will also teach others, than ten thousand words in a language. 20Brethren, be not children in understanding. Howbeit, be ye children in malice, but be men in understanding.

 

The above text is about the speaker’s spirit, not the Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua.

 

Philippians 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in Yehovah. To me, to write the same things to you indeed is not grievous, but safe for you: 2beware of dogs; beware of evil workers; beware of the concision! 3For we who worship God in the spirit and rejoice in Messiah Yeshua and have no confidence in the flesh are the circumcision 4(though I might also have confidence in the flesh).

 

Since “in the spirit” and “in the flesh” refer to the same group (again), this is not referring to the Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua. (We in these letters almost always refer to the Israelis or to a subgroup of the Israelis who are born of God. Ye, you and your consistently refer to those to whom the letter is being written. The timing of the fulfillment of these letters is almost universally… you’ve got it! The Tribulation!)

 

Colossians 1:3 We confess to God and the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, praying always for you 4since we heard of your faith in Messiah Yeshua and of the love to all the saints, 5for the Hope that is laid up for you in the heavens (of which ye previously heard in the word of the Truth of the gospel) 6that is come unto you as in all the world, and brings forth fruit as also in you since the day ye heard and knew the Grace of God in Truth—7as ye also learned from Epaphras our dear fellowservant who is a faithful minister of the Messiah for you, 8who also declared unto us your love in spirit.

 

This will fit the same patterns as above. Epaphras declared the love of these Colossian folks ‘in spirit’ unto Paul and the other Israelis. The very way Epaphras described it was animated and spirited, and their love was very evident by their works, words, and the actions they did. They radiated that love for each other and for the Israelis.

 

Colossians 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

 

Again, “in the flesh” and “in the spirit” are connected together to show which spirit is being considered.

 

1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

 

This is the same pattern.

 

Revelation 1:10 “I was in the spirit on the Day of Yehovah. And I heard a great voice behind me as of a trumpet…”

 

Yochanan (John) was not physically removed from Patmos Island Prison. He was transported spiritually, being taken to another location in another time. The location was the heavens; the time was the future Tribulation (of course). That is the Day of Yehovah (confusingly rendered ‘the Lord’s day’). Thus, while he was gone, he could experience all things, feeling, hearing, touching, tasting, smelling, etc., yet anyone observing him in Patmos Island Prison would not have noticed even a moment’s discrepancy in his presence or actions. (Some folks like to get into ‘astral travel.’ They don’t have a transport like this!)

 

Another text that follows this form is the following:

 

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain. And he showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.

 

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, “See not! I am thy fellowservant and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Yeshua! Worship God! For the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy!”

 

This still isn’t the Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua, since spirit and testimony are equated, and the Spirit of God is a person, not a testimony. Every true prophecy that has ever been given and that has come from the living Gods of Israel has always been the very testimony of Yeshua. (A false prophecy thus claims to be a testimony of Yeshua, and it is a lying testimony!)

 

Chapter 8: When the Spirit of Yehovah is Described as Being Transferred

Where the Spirit is Gushed Forth, Uncovered, Decanted or Poured

Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom shouts outside! She utters Her voice in the streets! 21She shouts in the chief place of concourse in the openings of the gates! She utters her words in the city! 22 “How long will ye love gullibility, ye gullible-[ones]? And the scorners shall delight in their scorning! And fools shall hate knowledge! 23Turn you at my reproof! Behold, I will gush forth my Spirit to you! I will make known my words unto you!”

 

Now, here is a woman! She is introduced early in the Bible, but She is thoroughly described in Proverbs. She is none other than Messiah Yeshua Himself, but in the feminine gender. If you don’t believe this, consider the following texts:

 

Proverbs 3:18 She is a Tree of the Lives to those who lay hold upon Her.

 

Proverbs 8:35 “For whoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favour from Yehovah!”

 

Proverbs 3:19 Yehovah founded the land by Wisdom. He established the heavens by Understanding.

 

Thus, if she pours out Her Spirit, this is the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

The Hebrew word rendered gushed forth is , nava, meaning to flow, pour out, pour, gush forth, spring, bubble up, ferment, emit, belch forth. (We can eliminate the Spirit being belched.) This doesn’t describe the decanting of the Spirit, but rather more like an artesian spring in great amounts!

 

This Proverbs text is another group text (since you is plural). This is another Tribulation text, describing one of the exciting events that will occur for those who go after Wisdom during the worst time the planet will ever see.

 

I am fascinated with just how boring seminary-taught preachers and seminary professors are able to make the Bible! With few exceptions, they aid each other in their concerted efforts to bore listeners to death! This is consistent across denominations, non-denominations and renegade congregations, across cults and fundamentalist churches, Charismatic and non-charismatic churches, cultural churches and gay churches! If the Word of God were taught as the Truth that it is, it would be so exciting, that folks would forget about lunch! Instead of setting up ‘Christians’ for slaughter in Africa, it would bring up men and women like David, Jael and Deborah who would fight with weapons so that others would live! Even funerals are boring! It is as if the following text were the motto of modern ‘Christian-associated’ churches:

 

Isaiah 29:10 For Yehovah has ‘libated’ upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes. The prophets and your rulers, the seers has he covered.

 

And, let us say, “Amen.”

 

Isaiah 32:9 Complacent Women! Arise! Hearken-ye to my voice, confident daughters! ‘Ear-ye’ my saying! 10Days upon a year ye-shall-shake-with-anger, confident-ones. For the vintage is finished, a gathering without coming! 11Tremble-ye, Complacent-ones, a shaking-with-anger! Confident-ones {feminine}─a stripping!─they {masculine} shall make-naked. Gird-ye {feminine} and smite-ye[-upon the breasts] {feminine}, upon the loins. 12They are smiting {masculine} upon the breasts, upon the fields of desire, upon the vine of fruitfulness, 13upon the soil of My people, thorn and thistle. Thou shalt arise because above all are houses of rejoicing, a bustling city. 14For the fortress is abandoned. The crowd of the city is forsaken. The hill and the tower shall be for caves unto Hider─the joy of wild-asses, pasture for flocks─15until the Spirit will be uncovered upon us from the height. And the desert shall be to a carmel [fertile-field], and the carmel will be thought to a forest.

 

This is another End Times text, and yes, it is during the Tribulation. (I have gained this type of certainty by looking at many texts; you can do the same.) The word normally rendered poured should be uncovered or revealed. Translators didn’t have the guts to put what they saw. (This is quite common. A translator must have steel, guts, fortitude, and the willingness to honestly report regardless of consequences from fellow humans. If the translator doesn’t have this type of ethic, the translator isn’t worthy of the Kingdom of God. Either the Word of God is of everlasting life-or-death value, or it is a waste of time. If it is of life-or-death value, translating it must be the same. Most translators have been lily-livered wimps.)

 

When the Spirit of Yehovah is uncovered upon the Israelis from the height, as He was upon Messiah Yeshua, the Israelis will do works that exceed all that Yeshua did. Yeshua said so:

 

John 14:12 Faith! Faith I say unto you, he who believes on me—he shall also do the works that I do. And he shall do greater than these because I go unto my Father.

 

Isaiah 44:3 “For I will decant water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will decant my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.”

 

This text uses yet another verb! It has the basic ‘flavour’ of decanting. That is a type of pouring that isn’t a total rush of a massive amount of a liquid or a finely ground solid, and moves a measured amount.

 

Ezekiel 39:29 “And I will not any more hide my face from them. For I have poured my spirit upon the House of Israel,” says the Lord Yehovah.

 

Wouldn’t you know it? This uses yet another distinct Hebrew verb. This one at least really does mean pour!

 

Joel 2:28 (along with Acts 2:17,18) “And he shall be afterward. I will pour my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your elders shall dream dreams. Your chosen-[ones] shall see visions. 2And I will also pour my Spirit upon the slaves and upon the slavewomen in those days.”

 

This Hebrew word is the same as that in the previous and the next text:

 

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour a spirit of favour and supplications upon the House of David and upon an inhabitant of Jerusalem. And they shall peer unto me whom they pierced. And they shall mourn concerning him as the mourning concerning the only-one. And the bitterness concerning him is as the bitterness concerning the firstborn.

 

The spirit of favour and supplications isn’t the Spirit of Yehovah, however. It will be the spirit of the group (House of David and every inhabitant of Jerusalem together), since Yehovah will transfer that spirit into it (the group).

 

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision who believed were astonished—as many as came with Peter—because the gift of the Spirit of the Holy-[One] was also poured on the Gentiles.

 

The Greek word rendered poured directly corresponds to the Hebrew word that I rendered pour above (in Joel 2:28, for example). I know this because of bridge texts. (I call them bridge texts because one is an ‘Old Testament’ text and the other is a ‘New Testament’ text quoting that ‘Old Testament’ text. Thus, I can compare the Hebrew words with the Greek words, and I can see which Greek words correspond to the Hebrew words in those two texts. Get it?) Since Joel 2:28 is quoted in Acts 2:17, I can know that the Hebrew verb meaning pour and the Greek verb meaning pour are the same. If I then find another text in the ‘New Testament’ using the same Greek verb for pour, I can render it as if it were the Hebrew verb for pour. That is what occurs in the Acts 10:45 text.

 

It takes little imagination to see what will take place when the Spirit of Yehovah will be gushed forth, uncovered, decanted, or poured upon groups! It certainly doesn’t describe whatever the Sheol is happening in so-called ‘Christian’ and associated congregations today (including all cults and non-cults that claim to be churches of ‘Jesus Christ’, whether of latter-day saints or early-day saints, ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses,’ etc.) But then, they need to do what they are doing; they are offering a vital service for folks who just wouldn’t be willing to receive a love of the Truth. Folks need places to marry and bury, pay their tithes, have someone tell them that they need to be witnessing to all their friends and neighbours, go on mission fields to spread the Gospel of the United States, etc. The leaders do a vital work, even if it is only for here. For now. Temporary.

 

When the Spirit of Yehovah is placed upon groups of Israelis and those who are friends of the Israelis during the Tribulation, there will be enough material to produce beautiful songs from nearly all cultures and languages of the world in nearly all music forms for ten full centuries! The Rock of Ages will be in Jerusalem! He will be there in person at all hours hearing these beautiful songs and being totally approachable! Now, that truly is “Rock Around the Clock!”

 

Where God Sends an Evil Spirit

Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. And the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech.

 

The very idea that God uses evil spirits for His work might seem quite contrary to the character of God, but it isn’t. Demons are still under His command, and He uses that.

 

This section will not be so much about the Spirit of God as it will be about how God uses demons.

 

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of Yehovah departed from Saul. And a bad spirit from Yehovah troubled him. 15And Saul’s servants said unto him, “Behold now, a bad spirit from God troubles thee. 16Our lord shall now command thy servants who are before thee to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a violin. And it shall come to pass that he shall play with his hand, when the bad spirit from God is upon thee. And thou shalt be well.” … 23And it came to pass, when the bad spirit from God was upon Saul. And David took a violin. And he played with his hand. So Saul was refreshed and was well. And the bad spirit departed from him.

 

The word evil in Biblical translations is nearly always bad instead of evil. (Another word for evil in Hebrew exists, and is more rarely used. These texts will be about bad spirits, not evil spirits. An evil spirit is a spirit that does immoral things. A bad spirit is a spirit who is set on destruction, harm, etc.—things that are not in themselves immoral, but cause damage, death and pain. War is often a necessary bad; it isn’t automatically evil. If it were evil, Yehovah would always be against it.)

 

These men knew that the bad spirit was from Yehovah. Saul still didn’t seek Yehovah for a removal!

 

1 Samuel 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow. And the bad spirit from God came upon Saul. And he prophesied in the midst of the house. And David played with his hand as at other times. And there was a javelin in Saul’s hand. 11And Saul cast the javelin! For he said, “I will smite David even to the wall with it!” And David avoided out of his presence twice. 12And Saul was afraid of David because Yehovah was with him and was departed from Saul.

 

This text shows something rather profound: that true prophecy can come by means of a demon. Saul’s prophecies were true, and the spirit came upon Saul.

 

1 Samuel 19:9 And the bad spirit from Yehovah was upon Saul as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand. And David played with his hand. 10And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin, but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence. And he smote the javelin into the wall. And David fled, and escaped that night.

 

2 Kings 19:7, Isaiah 37:7 Behold, I will send a spirit upon him. And he shall hear a rumour. And he shall return to his own land. And I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

 

Yehovah sometimes uses demons to trick and trap bad guys. I don’t know the source of the rumour, but the spirit is somehow involved in this.

 

The next text is quite lengthy. Please read it carefully; it explains much about how Yehovah deals with demons!

 

2 Chronicles 18:1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance. And he joined affinity with Ahab. 2And after years, he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that are with him. And he persuaded him to go up to Ramothgilead. 3And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead?” And he answered him, “I am as thou, and my people as thy people, and are with thee in the war.” 4And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, “Enquire, na, at the word of Yehovah to day.” 5Therefore the king of Israel gathered together four hundred men from prophets. And he said unto them, “Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” And they said, “Go up! For God will deliver into the king’s hand!” 6But Jehoshaphat said, Isn’t a prophet here besides from Yehovah, and we shall enquire of him?” 7And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, “One man by whom we may enquire of Yehovah is yet, but I hate him! For he never prophesied good unto me, but always bad! The same is Micaiah the son of Imla.” And Jehoshaphat said, “The king shall not say so.” 8And the king of Israel called for one of the officers. And he said, “Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla!” 9And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne clothed in robes. And they sat in an empty place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria. And all the prophets prophesied before them. 10And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron. And he said, “Thus says Yehovah, ‘Thou shalt push Syria with these until they be consumed!’” 11And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, “Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper! For Yehovah shall deliver into the hand of the king!” 12And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “Behold, the words of the prophets are good to the king with one assent. Thy word shall be like one of theirs, therefore, na, and speak thou good!” 13And Micaiah said, “Yehovah lives! Even what my God says, that will I speak!” 14And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, “Micaiah! Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” And he said, “Go ye up and prosper! And they shall be delivered into your hand!” 15And the king said to him, “How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of Yehovah?” 16Then he said, “I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains as sheep that have no shepherd. And Yehovah said, ‘These have no master. They shall return every man to his house in peace.’” 17And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell thee he would not prophesy good unto me, but bad?” 18Again he said, “Therefore hear the word of Yehovah! I saw Yehovah sitting upon His throne. And all the army of the heavens is standing on His right hand and His left. 19And Yehovah said, ‘Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, and he will go up and fall at Ramothgilead?’ And one spoke saying this, and another saying this. 20And a spirit exited. And he stood before Yehovah. And he said, ‘I will entice him.’ And Yehovah said unto him, ‘How?’ 21And he said, ‘I will exit and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And He said, ‘Thou shalt entice. And thou shalt also prevail. Exit and do so.’ 22Now therefore, behold, Yehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets! And Yehovah spoke bad against thee!” 23Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near. And he smote Micaiah upon the cheek. And he said, “Which way went the Spirit of Yehovah from me to speak unto thee?” 24And Micaiah said, “Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.” 25Then the king of Israel said, “Take ye Micaiah! And carry him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son! 26And say, ‘Thus says the king, “Put this in the prison! And feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction until I return in peace!”’” 27And Micaiah said, “If thou certainly return in peace, Yehovah hasn’t spoken by me.” And he said, “Hearken, all ye people!”

 

One demon can coordinate many lying prophets!

 

As a child, I wondered how all the prophets I heard tended to speak the same things and sound the same way no matter where I heard them. When I later learned that these were false prophets, and I then read this text, I understood.

 

I also see such coordination from the mouths of pastors, whether they are of one denomination or another and are on one continent or another. How is this possible? It is because they all are filled with the Spirit of the God of Israel? I know they aren’t, since they say so many things that are not Biblically true. Yet, they are still so coordinated. I can see the answer from this text.

 

If humans who truly cared about the Bible had been studying it and recording what they found by taking it literally over these thousands of years, Biblical scholarship would not be in the present confused and worthless state that it is. Nothing in the way of understanding the Bible has increased for thousands of years; much understanding has gone extinct.

 

2 Chronicles 21:16 And Yehovah stirred up the spirit of the Philistines and of the Arabians (that were near the Ethiopians) against Jehoram.

 

I cannot tell if this is a demonic spirit or just the radiated spirit given off by this group.

 

Isaiah 19:14 Yehovah has mingled a guilt-guilt spirit in the midst thereof. And they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

 

This guilt-guilt spirit could be a demon, and it could be the radiated spirit of this group. I suspect that it is a demon who will help these folks (who desire to be guilty) to succeed in their guilt.

 

Jeremiah 51:1 Thus says Yehovah, “Behold, I will raise up against Babylon and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind [same as the word for spirit]. 2And I will send fanners unto Babylon who will fan her. And shall empty her land. For in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.”

 

This word will be wind, because it mentions fanners.

 

Jeremiah 51:11 Make the arrows bright! Gather the shields! Yehovah has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His device is against Babylon to destroy it because it is the vengeance of Yehovah, the vengeance of His Temple!

 

This spirit that Yehovah raised up could be a demon, or it could be that essence that is radiated by this group.

 

Where the Spirit is Sent

Numbers 11:31 And there went forth a wind/Spirit from Yehovah, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.

 

I cannot tell if this is truly a wind, or if it is the Spirit from Yehovah. I don’t see where a wind would bring so many quails from the sea, since birds normally don’t obey winds, but fly where they desire. Thus, I leave it up to you to do decide.

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God so-that we will know the things that are freely given to us under God.

 

Receiving it proves that He sent it.

 

Incidentally, we in this text refers to the Israelis. The Israelis won’t know the things that are freely given to them under God until they receive His Spirit.

 

Psalm 104:30 Thou sendest forth Thy Spirit! They are created! And thou renewest the face of the land!

 

Yehovah sends His Spirit to do assignments.

 

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts shouting, “Abba!” “Father!”

 

Yehovah also sends the Spirit of His Son (Yeshua) into the hearts of individual non-Jewish persons who have become Saints. The Spirit of Yeshua instructs these non-Jewish individuals that they are sons and daughters, because they now identify Yehovah as Father, and call upon Him as such.

 

Chapter 9: When the Spirit of Yehovah is Described as Doing Something

Where the Spirit Accomplishes

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered. And he spoke unto me, saying, “This is the word of Yehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might or by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yehovah of hosts.”

 

I have not presented enough text to show what the Spirit of Yehovah will accomplish in this text, but it is enough to show that the Spirit of Yehovah will accomplish something.

 

Where the Spirit Assigns

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock to feed the congregation of God that He purchased with His own blood over which the Spirit of the Holy-[One] has made you overseers.

 

The Spirit of Yeshua assigned these folks oversight over the congregation of God.

 

Where The Spirit Attacks

Isaiah 30:27 Behold, the Name Yehovah comes from far, burning with His anger! And His burden is heavy! His lips are full of indignation, and His tongue is as a devouring fire. 28And His breath [same as spirit] shall reach to the midst of the neck as an overflowing stream to sift the races with the sieve of vanity. And there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people causing them to err.

 

The word breath refers to what is blown from the mouth. Name Yehovah is being described as a fire-breathing dragon, but with the flow and effect of an overflowing stream! (Name Yehovah refers to a person.)

 

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear Name Yehovah from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of Yehovah shall lift up a standard against him.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah will signal an attack and will lead in the attack!

 

Where the Spirit Baptizes

1 Corinthians 12:13 For we are all baptized into one Body by one Spirit, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah is the One Who immerses individuals into one Body. This is when Salvation really occurs. (Many are under the terribly mistaken impression that they are saved, born of God, recipients of the Grace of God unto Salvation, born again, etc. Of the few who are right about this, most have no clue when they were born from above. How do they know when the Spirit immersed them into the one Body? Some think it was when they confessed Jesus, some when they went forward, some when they emotionally felt the weight of their sins, some when they said the ‘sinners’ prayer’. Those who said the ‘sinner’s prayer’ aren’t likely born of God, since that prayer isn’t Truth, and misquotes pieces of texts to give a false assurance of faith. But then, there will be a few who even said this erroneous ‘Romans Road’ prayer who truly do fear God and have believed unto Salvation. They still won’t know when that transformation into the one Body occurred. That one Body has members, and has had members from the beginning, but isn’t even formed, yet.)

 

All who are born of God have been made to drink of the One Spirit; He is the Waters of Lives Who gives everlasting Life.

 

Where the Spirit Binds

Acts 20:22 And now, behold, I go spiritually bound unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there 23except that the Holy Spirit witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24But none of these things move me; neither do I count my life dear unto myself so that I will finish my course with joy, and the ministry that I have received from the Lord Yeshua, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. 25And now, behold, I know that ye all among whom I have gone preaching the Kingdom of God shall see my face no more.

 

I do not see where this refers to the Spirit of Yehovah (as the binder); Paul’s own spirit is bound as he goes, knowing that he must, but knowing he won’t see these folks again.

 

Where the Spirit Births

Galatians 4:29 But even so it is now as then: He who was born according to the flesh persecuted him that was born according to the Spirit.

 

Being born according to the Spirit can be accomplished in two ways:

 

by the Spirit doing the birthing;

 

in the way that the Spirit of God recognizes as being a true birth.

 

I propose that both are true, since being born according to the flesh is a physical birth with the flesh doing the birthing.

 

Where the Spirit Blows

Isaiah 40:7 The grass withers. The flower fades because the Spirit of Yehovah blows upon it. Surely the people is grass.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah can be as an incredibly drying wind. This makes sense, since spirit and wind are the same word in Hebrew.

 

Where the Spirit Carries Folks

1 Kings 18:12 “And he shall be as soon as I am gone from thee. And the Spirit of Yehovah shall carry thee to where I don’t know. And so, when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me! But I, thy servant, fear Yehovah from my youth.”

 

This person knew that the Spirit of Yehovah can and does transport folks on occasion.

 

2 Kings 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets that were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha!” And they came to meet him. And they bowed themselves to the ground before him. 16And they said unto him, “Behold now, there are fifty strong men with thy servants. Send them, na, and seek thy master lest peradventure the Spirit of Yehovah has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley.” And he said, “Ye shall not send.”

 

They also knew that the Spirit of Yehovah can transport folks.

 

Isaiah 41:16 Thou shalt fan them. And the wind shall carry them away. And the whirlwind shall scatter them. And thou shalt rejoice in Yehovah, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel!

 

The word wind is the same as spirit in Hebrew; wind works in this text as it does in the next text:

 

Isaiah 57:13 “When thou shoutest, thy companies shall deliver thee, but the wind shall carry them all away! Vanity shall take them! But He who puts his trust in me shall possess the land and shall inherit my holy mountain.”

 

The next set of texts all demonstrate the Spirit’s form of ‘beaming’ folks:

 

Ezekiel 3:12 Then the Spirit took me up.

 

Ezekiel 3:14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away. And I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, but the hand of Yehovah was strong upon me.

 

Ezekiel 8:3 And He put forth the form of an hand and took me by a lock of mine head. And the spirit lifted me up between the land and the heavens. And He brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem…

 

Ezekiel 11:1 Moreover the Spirit lifted me up and brought me unto the east gate of Yehovah’s house that looketh eastward…

 

Ezekiel 11:24 Afterwards the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea…

 

Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of Yehovah was upon me. And He carried me out via the Spirit of Yehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley that was full of bones…

 

Ezekiel 43:5 So the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court…

 

Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit <4151> into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

 

Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of Yehovah caught away Philip so-that the eunuch saw him no more. And he went on his way rejoicing.

 

Obviously, the Spirit of Yehovah can do rapid transit when that is beneficial.

 

Where the Spirit Comes

Hosea 13:15 Though he is fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come! The wind of Yehovah shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry. And his fountain shall be dried up. He shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah does get around!

 

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Spirit of the Holy-[One] came upon them. And they spoke with languages. And they prophesied.

 

He can also come upon folks. (The verb come is exactly that; come upon is not the verb.)

 

Where the Spirit Consoles

John 14:26 “But the Consolator, Who is the Spirit of the Holy-[One], whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance—whatsoever I have said unto you.”

 

Consolation is only needed when grief is already present. The Spirit of Yehovah is not just a consoler, but He is also the Consolator; that is part of the work He does. (This text is an End Times text, describing what the Spirit of Yehovah will do for the Israelis during the Tribulation.)

 

Acts 9:31 Then the congregations had rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were built. And they were multiplied, walking in the fear of Yehovah and in the consolation by the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

Those congregations suffered the loss of many loved ones. They needed consolation.

 

Where the Spirit Demonstrates

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

 

I propose that this does refer to the Spirit of Yehovah. If it didn’t, it would refer to Paul’s spirit, and he would be demonstrating his own spirit (for no purpose I could consider).

 

Where the Spirit Descends

Matthew 3:16 And Yeshua went up straightway out of the water when He was baptized. And behold, the heavens were opened unto Him. And He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.

 

John 1:33 And I knew him not. But He who sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, “Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on him, the same is He Who baptizes with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

While this may seem very minor, it isn’t. The various texts that describe the Spirit of Yehovah as going from one place to another don’t counteract texts that indicate that the Spirit of Yehovah is always everywhere. His being everywhere doesn’t mean that He is upon all, in all, directing all, etc.; He isn’t.

 

The church I used to attend (Bethesda Missionary Temple in Detroit, that once featured the spirit-and-Koolaid-filled Jim Jones as a guest speaker) used to teach and sing that “God is moving again…” The church finally moved out of Detroit, I suppose to follow the god that was moving again. I wonder if the church moved out of Detroit because of the great success that the church had in Detroit, and that it needed to go to places where the Truth wasn’t being lived so strongly. Of course, churches have to move with god in order to find greener pastures (pastures where greenbacks are far more plentiful).

 

Where the Spirit Gives Power

Luke 4:14 And Yeshua returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah gives power to do what cannot be done, and what must be done.

 

Romans 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things that Messiah hasn’t worked by me to make the Gentiles obedient by word and deed 19through mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit of God—so that I have fully preached the gospel of Messiah from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum.

 

Paul didn’t only preach the gospel; he also performed mighty signs and wonders. These miracles demonstrate the power of the Spirit of God, and are necessary in some cases so that some witnesses will take this God seriously. Miracles never produce faith; they draw attention to the message of the one doing the miracles.

 

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

 

This text connects the spirit with power. Said another way, ‘God has given us the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.’ This may not be referring to the Spirit of Yehovah; it could refer to the spirit of this group of Israelis. The Spirit of Yehovah gives the power to do miracles, but the spirit of love and the spirit of a sound mind can refer to the group; I propose that it does.

 

Where the Spirit Enlivens

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam was made a living being.” The last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

 

Quickening means making alive.

 

The last Adam refers to Yeshua. He was physically made to be a spirit that brought life from where there was no life. That was part of the design that Yehovah and Yeshua predetermined for the mortal Yeshua and His ministry.

 

While the Spirit of Yehovah is not mentioned in this text, the connection between Yeshua and the Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua can be recognized.

 

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, so-that He will bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the Spirit.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah made Yeshua physically alive after His death with physical immortality. Yeshua’s immortality apart from physical life had always been the only possibility, but He had to come in a mortal, physical form to do His work.

 

Revelation 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood upon their feet. And great fear fell upon those who saw them.

 

This text speaks of Yeshua’s Two Witnesses who will do their work during the Tribulation. They will do miracles in Jerusalem, and angry folks will attack them. Anyone who hurts them will be killed from fire coming out of their mouth (singular). Finally, the ‘animal’ known as The False Prophet will make war against the witnesses and will kill them all.

 

Where the Spirit Forbids

Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden by the Spirit of the Holy-[One] to preach the word in Asia, 7after they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia. But the Spirit suffered them not.

 

This is a text that should startle some religious folks! The Spirit of Yeshua (the Holy One of Israel) forbade these Saints to preach the Word in Asia, and didn’t permit them to go into Bithynia. That is exactly the opposite of the command given in the following text:

 

Mark 16:15 And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

 

Those who are convinced that the gospel went into all the world in Paul’s day might not have good evidence from this text in Acts. Those who are convinced that Saints should always preach the gospel will also find this text hard to swallow (along with many other texts).

 

Where the Spirit ‘Fruits’

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also who have the Firstfruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves waiting for the ‘sonship-ment’—the redemption of our Body.

 

If these folks have the Firstfruit of the Spirit, they have Messiah. He is the Firstfruit from the dead. Since the resurrection from the dead is by the Spirit of Yehovah, the Spirit ‘fruits’ resurrection. These Saints are waiting for the event when the rest of Israel will become a son of Yehovah the Father, and all Israelis will become sons and daughters. That will occur when the Body (of Israel, the same Body that is called ‘the Body of Christ,’ since ‘Christ’ owns the Body) is redeemed.

 

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were at one time darkness. But ye are now light in Yehovah. Walk as children of light! 9For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and Truth, 10proving what is acceptable unto Yehovah.

 

The fruit of the Spirit, which is Messiah, is found in all Goodness, all Righteousness, and all Truth. The fruit of the Spirit (Messiah) proves what is acceptable unto Yehovah.

 

Galatians 5:19 Now, the works of the flesh are manifest, which are:

  • Adultery
  • Fornication
  • Uncleanness
  • Lasciviousness
  • Idolatry
  • Witchcraft
  • Hatred
  • Variance
  • Emulations
  • Wrath
  • Strife
  • Seditions
  • Heresies
  • Envyings
  • Murders
  • Drunkenness
  • Revellings
  • such like

of which I tell you in advance, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is:

  • love
  • joy
  • peace
  • longsuffering
  • gentleness
  • goodness
  • faith
  • Meekness
  • Temperance.

There is no law against such.

 

Since Messiah Yeshua is the fruit of the Spirit, anyone who has Messiah will demonstrate that fruit.

 

The first demonstration of the fruit of the Spirit of Yehovah is love (for the brethren, for the Saints). Yehovah Himself doesn’t love everyone; He hates some and He abhors some (if Psalm 5 is Truth). One who has the fruit of the Spirit will not love everyone. Anyone who claims to love everyone will prove to probably love no one. No one can exceed God in His attributes. Loving those whom God abhors (given the facts) would put the person on opposite sides from Yeshua. On the othr hand, not loving the brethren and not loving Saints is also not loving Yeshua.

 

Israelis are commanded to love their enemies (referring to Israeli enemies). This command will be absolutely vital during the Tribulation. Numbers of those enemies will become friends.

 

The second demonstration is joy. This joy isn’t over enemies or friends who are victims when a person is being tested, and it isn’t what appears when a person can say, “I made it!” after many others have fallen or been slaughtered.

 

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

 

If the person or group is being heavily tested without others outside of the group who are innocent suffering for the sake of the test, and if the person or group stands firm, that is cause for joy. The reasons for joy will be several:

  • The person or group stood firm
  • Others seeing the firm stand will join
  • The work of Yehovah will occur on behalf of the person or group
  • The endurance level of the person or group will greatly increase
  • Boldness in doing good works will increase
  • The character of God will not be harmed, but instead demonstrated by these events.
  • Lives are being saved.

 

They are good reasons for joy.

 

Then comes peace. Peace has objects. A person who demonstrates this part of the fruit of the Spirit of Yehovah will have peace with Yehovah and will not be in bitterness with man. The person or group will know that what is being done is right; there is no conflict.

 

Longsuffering isn’t patience; it is the ability and action to refrain from wrath until the appropriate time to express it. Thus, a person who demonstrates longsuffering will not quickly anger at hearing what would anger most folks, but will inspect and see if there is good reason for great anger. Jacob showed this with Laban when Laban came looking for his gods. Jacob showed no wrath until Laban came up empty-handed. Then Jacob became very angry; he fought with Laban. He then was willing to vow with Laban, though he didn’t need to; Laban feared him.

 

Gentleness is very difficult to openly show during great tribulation. This characteristic is normally replaced by hardening oneself because of all the tragedy. Folks harden themselves to avoid vulnerability and pain. Gentleness is often one of the first characteristics ‘to go’ under such circumstances. Yet, it is so much more needed during terrible persecution and testings.

 

This characteristic shows up when a person needs to help or to correct another who truly needs help or correction, and who would be helped or corrected without force or threat if the person helping or correcting isn’t full of fear. A fearful person will anger when helping or correcting because the one needing the help or correction is invisible; the person only sees the fear.

 

Goodness is the characteristic of being truly beneficial and God-like. The opposite of good is bad, which shows in the form of harm, destruction, and needless damage. A person who shows goodness will be determined to bring life, health, and benefit when possible. The works that are known as good works will be moral and/or ethical in nature.

 

Faith is the assurance of things expected, the conviction of things not seen. Assurance is certainty. Expectation must always be based upon the nature of the one from whom the expectation will come. Conviction is the result of personal certainty, but it is not transferable to another person. Things not seen are things that have not yet been realized in life. They are expected to come, but they have not yet occurred.

 

This part of the fruit of the Spirit of God will give one who as the Spirit of God the ability to easily wait for what Yehovah promised. Thus, the person will not grow weary to the point of losing faith.

 

Meekness is a synonym for humility. (There is no difference between them, regardless of what many will claim.) Humility is knowing one’s rank and responsibility before God and man, and consistently living that way. This part of the fruit of the Spirit will be demonstrated by such a life.

 

·Temperance is demonstrated by a combination of power and self-control. Those who lose temper lose power and self-control. This part of the fruit of the Spirit of Yehovah will be demonstrated by great power and great self-control in order to benefit the innocent and save lives.

 

No law or teaching is against these things.

 

Where the Spirit Gathers

Isaiah 34:16 Research-ye from upon the Scroll of Yehovah. And read-ye! And one {fem.} from here will not be-lacking. A woman, her female-friend, they shall not be visited. For His mouth─He has commanded. And His Spirit─He gathered them {fem.}.

 

This text is part of the description of events in the End Times. The feminine-gendered items that won’t be lacking refer to the animals that will inhabit Babylon and several other environments near Israel. The Spirit of Yehovah will gather them to these places, and these places will not be visited. They will be wild animal reserves. All humans will be kept off. (If humans from races besides Israel came, they would soon attempt to revive the religions of the regions.)

 

Where the Spirit Gives

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man doesn’t receive the things of the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness unto him. And he can’t know them because they are spiritually discerned.

 

If the natural man doesn’t receive these things, the spiritual man does. If the spiritual man receives from the Spirit of God, that shows that the Spirit gives.

 

1 Corinthians 12:8 For,

  • the word of wisdom is given to one by the Spirit,
  • the word of knowledge to another by the same Spirit,
  • 9faith to another by the same Spirit,
  • the gifts of healing to another by the same Spirit,
  • 10the working of miracles to another,
  • prophecy to another,
  • discerning of spirits to another,
  • kinds of tongues to another,
  • the interpretation of tongues to another.

 

11But that One and the selfsame Spirit works all these, severally dividing to every man as He wills.

 

This text shows more that the Spirit gives.

 

Where the Spirit of God Gives the Spirit of Power, the Spirit of Love, and the Spirit of a Sound Mind

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

 

The spirit of fear disables folks from doing what they need to do. It is not the beneficial type of fear that keeps one from danger, but is the destructive fear that occupies the mind with disasters that might occur.

 

This text refers to a group (“us”) of Israelis. God has not given the Israelis the spirit of fear. (An entire group also has a spirit.) Elohim (God) has given this group three spirits: the spirit of power, the spirit of love, and the spirit of a sound mind.

 

The spirit of power will enable this group to do what must be done regardless of obstacles. Thus, this group will perform miracles as needed with boldness that will confound enemies. No demonic force will be able to curb this power.

 

The spirit of love will set this group to seek the highest, best interest of others without regard to self—that is, to do what is beneficial for others even if that means that members of this group will suffer and die. Heroes and heroines will therefore be what make up this group of Israelis.

 

The spirit of a sound mind will be necessary during the Tribulation. Insanity will be normal among humans who don’t have the Hope during the worst time the planet will experience. Soundness of mind will be imperative to make decisions that will save lives. Since the entire group will act as one being, the group will have one mind. That way, the best decisions can be rapidly made.

 

Where the Spirit Gives Life

2 Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle (letter) written in our hearts, known and read by all men, 3manifestly declared to be the epistle of the Messiah ministered by us—not written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4And we have such trust toward God through the Messiah. 5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God 6Who also has made us able ministers of the new Covenant—not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

 

The Spirit of the Living God is the only source of life.

 

Galatians 6:8 For He who sows to his flesh shall reap corruption from the flesh. But He who sows to the Spirit shall reap life everlasting from the Spirit.

 

One must sow to the Spirit in order to reap everlasting life. It isn’t a matter of passively waiting for this. One must pursue. Of course, one must first be willing to receive the love of the Truth, for there can be no everlasting Salvation without this, and that love must be supplied. All Truth comes from Yehovah. (No one is able to discover truth.) One must sow to the Spirit, however, and that starts with preparing ‘the ground’—that is, making certain that when the Word of God (the ‘seed’) is planted, the soil is willing to receive the seed. This is a picture—part of a parable. If the willingness is there in the person, Yehovah paid a great price for Salvation; He will provide all necessary parts (including His Grace) for it to occur.

 

Where the Spirit Gives Rest

Isaiah 63:14 As a domesticated-animal shall descend into a valley, Spirit Yehovah shall ‘rest’ us. Established, Thou guided Thy people to make a Name of brightness to Thee!

 

‘Spirit Yehovah’ is a person. I could render this ‘The Spirit of Yehovah’ as I have previously done, but I would rather you understand that this is a description of Yehovah.

 

To ‘rest’ is to give rest. Spirit Yehovah will do this for His People, the Israelis, for the sake of His Name, to make a Name of brightness!

 

 

Where the Spirit Guides

John 16:13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak from Himself. But whatsoever He shall hear, He shall speak that. And He will show you things to come.

 

The Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Messiah, since Messiah is the Truth. He will guide the Israelis into all truth.

 

The Spirit of Messiah will not speak from Himself, but rather will transfer information that He hears (from Messiah). Since the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10), the testimony of Yeshua will be of things to come. These are the types of information that the Spirit of Truth will convey.

 

Where the Spirit Helps; Where the Spirit Intercedes

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we don’t know for what we should pray as we ought. But the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered.

 

Though this book is written to the Roman Saints, the majority of the book/letter speaks about the Israelis (we, us, our). This was the means that the Spirit of Yehovah taught the Roman Saints. What they understood about Israel had everything to do with their understanding of all things spiritual, and had everything to do with their knowing their own responsibilities. (The same is true of every reader of the Bible.)

 

In this verse, the Spirit of Yeshua also helps the infirmities (weaknesses) of the Israelis. The Israelis don’t know for what they should pray. The Spirit of Yeshua makes intercession for them. He does this in a way that cannot be spoken or communicated, and therefore won’t be heard, but the intercession will be granted.

 

Where the Spirit Washes, Sanctifies, Justifies

1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither

  • fornicators
  • nor idolaters
  • nor adulterers
  • nor effeminate
  • nor abusers of themselves with mankind
  • 10nor thieves
  • nor covetous
  • nor drunkards
  • nor revilers
  • nor extortioners

 

shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And some of you were such. But ye are washed! But ye are sanctified! But ye are justified in the Name of Lord Yeshua and by the Spirit of our God!

 

Uncleanness (not ‘uncleanliness’) is a very important type (a person, place, item or event that is important in itself, but pictures something far more important) in the Bible. Being unclean is not sin, and it is not necessarily an indicator of sin, but it typifies sin. All sin renders the sinner unclean. Only the blood of a perfect, appropriate and appropriately valuable sacrifice can cover and remove the uncleanness caused by sin. Now, this blood covers sin, but the Word of Truth washes. This is totally unrelated to baptisms of any kind.

 

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives even as the Messiah also loved the congregation and gave Himself for her 26so that He will sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word, 27so that He will present her a glorious congregation to Himself not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she will be holy and without blemish.

 

The Spirit of Elohim washes.

 

He also sanctifies—He transfers ownership from the world, sin, and all other owners to Yehovah. (Sanctification is the act of transferring ownership or causing something unowned to be owned. It is exactly the same as being made holy.)

 

The Spirit of Elohim justifies. This word has two distinct meanings:

  • to transfer a guilty party (person or group) into the state of no longer being guilty
  • to declare the innocence of an innocent party (person or group)

 

Both forms of justification are important in this text.

 

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great. God was manifested by the flesh, justified by the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

 

God, in the form of Yeshua, was manifested by the flesh—by means of being physically born. He was also justified (declared righteous) by the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Where the Spirit Knows the Things of God

1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the hidden wisdom of God (that God ordained in a mystery before the world) unto our glory, 8that none of the princes of this world knew. For had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, “Eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have the things that God has prepared for them that love Him entered into the heart of man.” 10But God has revealed unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things: indeed, the deep things of God. 11For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of man that is in him? Even so, no man knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12Now, we haven’t received the spirit of the world, but the spirit that is from God so that we will know the things that are freely given to us from God 13which things we also speak—not in the words that man’s wisdom teaches, but that the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man doesn’t receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him. And he cannot know, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he who is spiritual judges all things; yet he himself isn’t judged by any man. 16For, “who has known the mind of Yehovah, and he will instruct Him?” But we have the mind of the Messiah.

 

The Spirit of God has revealed the hidden wisdom of God to the Israelis. Only the Spirit of God can convey the things of God to humans. The Israelis will know the things that God has freely given to them. The Spirit of God teaches them these things. The prophets declared them. Thus, if anyone will desire to know the things of God, Yehovah has entrusted those things to the Jews:

 

Romans 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is from circumcision? 2Much every way!—chiefly because the oracles of God were committed unto them.

 

Where the Spirit Leads

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty—only not liberty for an occasion to the flesh! But serve one another by love. 14For all the Teaching is fulfilled in one word—in this: “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” 15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed by one another! 16I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh! 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary the one to the other so that ye cannot do the things that ye will [to do]. 18But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

 

If anyone is led by the Spirit of Messiah, the Spirit of Messiah must lead.

 

Verse 18 states, “if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” I was curious about being “under the law.” I checked how the word translated under was used elsewhere in the Bible. I noted that it was a ranking issue, akin to “under the authority of.” Being under the authority of the law refers to a person who fits one of two circumstances:

 

The person is a child; the Torah is a tutor; the child is incapable of functioning independently at this time.

 

The person is an adult under accusation for having violated the Torah. (This only pertains to those whose lives must normally conform to the Torah: the Israelis, and those who have physically joined Israel in the Land of Israel.)

 

Thus, being “under the law” is not a good status for one to whom the Torah pertains and who is mature. That person should live according to the Torah as one having been graduated from the school of the Torah, consistently doing what is right according to the Torah. (This is true regardless of faith, though the Torah is a tutor to Messiah for those who are not in faith.

 

Where the Spirit Manifests Himself

1 Corinthians 12:4 Now, there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God Who works all in all. 7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyone with which to carry together. 8For,

  • the word of wisdom is given to one by the Spirit,
  • the word of knowledge to another by the same Spirit,
  • 9faith to another by the same Spirit,
  • the gifts of healing to another by the same Spirit,
  • 10the working of miracles to another,
  • prophecy to another,
  • discerning of spirits to another,
  • kinds of languages to another,
  • the interpretation of languages to another.

 

11But that One and the selfsame Spirit works all these, severally dividing to everyone as He wills.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah openly shows Himself to individuals so that they can carry together—so that they can do what needs to be done as a group, succeeding where they could not otherwise possibly succeed.

 

Biblical group orientation is so important. The Bible rarely focuses on individuals disconnected from a group. It normally considers individuals who are part of a group and who are responsible (and made responsible) for and to a group. Reading the Bible in any other way will lead to a totally wrong understanding of its contents and of responsibility so central to Biblical love.

 

Where the Spirit Ministers

2 Corinthians 3:6 [God] also has made us able ministers of the new Covenant—not the letter, but the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7But if the written ministry of death engraved in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moshe for the glory of his countenance (that was to be done away), 8how shall not the ministry of the Spirit be rather glorious? 9For if the ministry of condemnation is glory, the ministry of righteousness does exceed much more in glory.

 

Yehovah made the Israelis able ministers of the New Covenant. (This is obviously a text with fulfillment in the future.) That New Covenant will include the Torah being written on the heart of every individual Jewish person from birth (see the following text).

 

Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

 

He didn’t make the Israelis ministers of the letter of the New Covenant—that is, declaring its pronouncements to others so that their violations might also be recounted, but He instead made them ministers of the Spirit of Yehovah. That way, they will use the Torah (Teaching) of Yehovah to give life to others.

 

Now, the Torah was engraved in stones. It was accompanied by great brightness (see next paragraph). Yet, because the Torah declared right and wrong, it ministered death to violators and to those whom the sacrifices typify, who were (will be) victims of the violations of other Israelis.

 

The Israelis were unable to steadfastly behold Moshe’s face because his countenance was so bright upon returning from being at the faces of Yehovah in the mountain. That brightness faded over time, but in the meantime Moshe had to wear a covering in order to refrain from hurting their eyes.

 

In the same way, the ministry of the Spirit of Messiah will be very physically bright. This will occur during the Tribulation. Mount Zion will radiate intense light so that folks on the other side of the planet will see the light and will be drawn to it when Yehovah will turn the sun’s light way down and will remove the stars. I propose that the brightness of Mount Zion will be from those on the Mountain who have already come to Mount Zion’s safety.

 

Those who come to Mount Zion will include two types of individuals: the righteous ones who have brought others who need transportation (like children, including Israeli orphans, and like widows who themselves will rescue children), and those in need of transport who could not do it themselves (the lame, the blind, orphans, widows, etc.). This ministry of righteousness will produce a brightness that will exceed the brightness on Moshe’s countenance.

 

Where the Spirit Owns Something

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? Don’t ye know that your Body is the Temple of the Spirit of the Holy-[One] in you that ye have from God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price! Therefore, glorify God in your Body and in your spirit that are God’s!

 

These verses have much information. Some of that information has been historically and presently ignored by the most learned professors of Christianity to the destruction of its teaching. Consider the following:

 

This Body is the group of mainly Saints at Corinth. It has no reference to an individual’s personal, physical body.

 

The Body itself is the Temple. (Individual persons are not temples. They might behave as if they are, but that has nothing to do with this text.)

 

The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel (Yeshua) owns that Body, that Temple.

 

This entire group has the Spirit of the Holy One in them—that is, among them, in their midst. This text is not referring to the Spirit of God in individuals.

 

God is the One who set His Spirit into this group.

 

This group’s ownership isn’t to itself; it has been purchased.

 

This group has its own spirit, as every living entity has its own spirit.

 

The individuals comprising this group are being commanded to glory God using their Body and their spirit, both belonging to God.

 

Thus, the Spirit of God owns this group.

 

Where the Spirit Liberates

2 Corinthians 3:6 [God] also has made us able ministers of the new Covenant—not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7But if the written ministry of death engraved in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moshe for the glory of his countenance (that was to be done away), 8how shall not the ministry of the Spirit be rather glorious? 9For if the ministry of condemnation is glory, the ministry of righteousness does exceed much more in glory. 10For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect: by reason of the glory that excels! 11For if what is done away is glorious, what remains is much more glorious. 12Seeing, then, that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech, 13and not as Moshe putting a veil over his face (with regard to the children of Israel not being able to steadfastly look) unto the goal of what is abolished. 14But-rather, their minds were blinded. For, the same veil that is done away in the Messiah remains until this day untaken away upon reading the Old Testament. 15But-rather, the veil is upon their heart even unto this day when Moshe is read. 16But when it shall turn to Yehovah, the veil shall be taken away. 17Now, Yehovah is that Spirit. And there is liberty where the Spirit of Yehovah is. 18But we all, beholding the glory of Yehovah with open face as in a reflection, are changed into the same image from glory to glory as by the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

I had to read this text numerous times to get the gist. I will propose a series of explanations leading up to the liberation that the Spirit does.

 

God made the Israelis very able and capable ministers of the New Covenant by writing it on their hearts. As I mentioned in another section, that is an event with a future fulfillment; it has not been written on the hearts of all the Israelis (including those yet to be born), but will be (during the Tribulation). Their ministry will not be of the letter of the Torah, carrying it out on violators (since there won’t be any Israeli violators, and non-Israelis have never been commanded to do those things that the Torah commanded the Israelis to do; they couldn’t even if they desired). Their ministry will be of the Spirit of God. They will use the Torah to teach the races all things pertaining to Godliness, always with the intent to save lives. The letter of the Torah kills by making sin very plain and by condemning Israelis who sin. (They won’t sin during the entire Millennium.) The Spirit of Yehovah gives life.

 

The Torah, being the written ministry of death to violators, was engraved in stones. It was glorious—that is, very bright with light, proven by how the children of Israel couldn’t steadfastly (continuously) behold the face of Moshe; he shined too brightly, radiating light because of being personally there with Yehovah for forty days. His brightness eventually was done away.

 

If the written ministry of the Torah was accompanied by such brightness, the ministry of the Spirit of Yehovah will be far, far brighter! This will occur during the Tribulation. If the ministry of condemnation (the Torah itself condemning sin among the Israelis) was accompanied by intense physical brightness, the ministry of righteousness when all the Israelis will be righteous will greatly exceed the brightness that just one person, Moshe, experienced. All the Israelis will be physically luminescent with great intensity like Moshe was. The brightness of Moshe will be as nothing compared to the brightness that excels!

 

Since the Israelis have such an expectation, they will use great plainness of speech, telling things exactly as they are. They won’t be speaking in muffled terms; they won’t be hiding the Truth for the sake of hearers who can’t take it. They won’t do as Moshe had to do, putting a veil over his face, because the Israelis couldn’t take the brightness. Moshe did that until his own brightness was finally abolished, and he looked normal. This was because the Israelis’ minds were blinded, not because Moshe had a problem.

 

The veil over the minds/hearts of the Israelis that is abolished in Messiah remains to this day; it hasn’t been removed upon reading the Tenach (‘Old Testament’). It is there upon their heart (as a group) even unto this day when Moshe is read. When the heart of all Israel will finally turn to Yehovah, the veil will be removed.

 

Now, Yehovah is that Spirit Who gives life! There is liberty from slavery to blindness where the Spirit of Yehovah is.

 

The Israelis and all who truly behold the brightness of Yehovah with ‘open face,’ with their eyes wide open, are those who are part of that future Body of Messiah. They see the brightness of Yehovah as in a reflection (from a poor mirror) as they see each other walking righteously, living the Truth. This changes those onlookers into the same image of Yehovah Himself as Moshe was changed, going from a very, very dim ‘brightness’ to a very great brightness. This is done as by the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Yeshua said,

 

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

 

This is literal. Mount Zion will light the way for returners:

 

Isaiah 60:1 “Arise! Shine! For thy light is come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon thee!”

 

Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

 

All things that will be are repeats of what has already been:

 

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

 

Where the Spirit Remains On Someone

John 1:33 “And I [John the Baptist] didn’t know Him. But He who sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, ‘Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on Him, the same is He Who baptizes with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].’”

 

John indeed didn’t know Him. Yehovah sent John to immerse using water. Yehovah told John, “Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on Him, the same is He Who baptizes with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].” The Spirit of Yehovah can easily descend and come on any person (regardless of salvational state, regardless of how vile the person is). The Spirit of Yehovah came on King Saul and Balaam—both spiritual ‘washouts.’ The Spirit of Yehovah will not remain with such a person, however. He will remain on and with a person to whom He will give a ministerial gift. (A gift once given isn’t taken away.)

 

Romans 11:29 The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

 

Where the Spirit Reminds

John 14:26 “But the Consolator, Who is the Spirit of the Holy-[One], Whom the Father will send in my Name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things whatsoever I have said unto you to your remembrance.”

 

This Consolator (not just a consoler) does the service of providing consolation to grieved persons who are determined to do right. (This will be especially necessary during the Tribulation.) He also supplies Hope and all things necessary so that those whom He consoles are able to be valiant.

 

Yehovah the Father will send this Consolator in Yeshua’s Name—that is, in the Name of Salvation, obviously to save lives. (What is salvation if it isn’t saving lives?) He will instruct the Israelis, teaching them all things (that is quite inclusive). He will also bring all things whatsoever that Yeshua ever said unto them to their remembrance!

 

Where the Spirit Renews

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness that we have done, but He saved us according to His mercy by the washing of rebirth and the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] renewing.

 

Renewing in this text is a combination of ana, ana meaning along (showing the same direction and with the same properties) and kainov, kainos meaning new. The English word gives the impression of something being made new again, but that isn’t correct. It is being made new for the first time along the lines of the certain properties.

 

The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel will save the Israelis by making them into a new creation in perfect conformity to what He designed them.

 

Where the Spirit Reveals

1 Corinthians 2:6 We speak wisdom among them that are perfect—yet not the wisdom of this world (nor of the princes of this world who come to nothing). 7But we speak the hidden wisdom of God (that God ordained before the world unto our glory) in a mystery 8that none of the princes of this world knew. For had they known, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have the things that God prepared for them that love Him entered into the heart of man.” 10But God revealed unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things—indeed the deep things of God! 11For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of man that is in him? Even so, no man knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12Now we haven’t received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Who is from God so-that we will know the things that are freely given to us under God.

 

This hidden Wisdom of God that is spoken in a mystery has been revealed to the Israelis. The Spirit of God revealed it to the Israelis. God ordained that the Israelis would be the carriers and teachers of this Wisdom.

 

Only the Spirit of God knows the things of God. Since the Israelis received the Spirit of God Who is from God, the Spirit of Yehovah will apprise them of those things freely given to them under the authority of this God so that they can benefit the races.

 

Where the Spirit Sanctifies

Romans 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are also full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written unto you the more boldly to some degree as putting you in mind because of the grace that is given to me under God—16that I shall be the minister of Yeshua the Messiah to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God so-that the offering up of the Gentiles will be acceptable, being sanctified by the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

Sanctification is the transfer of ownership. One who is sanctified is owned. This word means no more than this and no less than this inside or outside of the Bible.

 

What is sanctified (verse 16)? The offering of the Gentiles is sanctified. (Both are singular, feminine.) The Spirit of God sanctifies.

 

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, beloved-of-Yehovah brethren, because God has chosen you from the beginning to salvation through Spirit sanctification and Truth belief.

 

The Spirit of God chose to give Salvation to those who will be Thessalonian Saints through the change of ownership that the Spirit of God does (taking them from sin’s and the world’s slavery ownership to Elohim’s ownership) and through Truth belief—their believing Truth being vital. Yehovah knew they would believe Truth, so He set their change in ownership from the Creation of the world.

 

1 Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Messiah Yeshua—to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father through Spirit sanctification, unto obedience and Messiah Yeshua’s blood sprinkling.

 

The Spirit of God (through Peter) wrote this document far, far in advance of the time it will be fulfilled. The targets were strangers, referring to Israelis (Jews) who were scattered throughout the locations mentioned.

 

These folks are elect (chosen) according to the foreknowledge of God. Since Yehovah knew who would respond to Truth (and thus, who would not), He wisely chose those who would respond. His foreknowledge is not causative. It causes nothing. It is information that He uses to do what He does, and He uses to give us information of events coming in the future.

 

These future Saints are elect (chosen) through Spirit sanctification—that change of ownership by which non-saints are purchased and owned as Yehovah’s property.

 

The purpose of this election (choosing) is so that these Saints will demonstrate obedience to the Truth, and will obtain Messiah Yeshua’s blood sprinkling.

 

Where the Spirit of God Sheds Something

Romans 5:5 The love of God is poured in our hearts by the Spirit of the Holy-[One] Who is given unto us.

 

The heart is the mind. The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel pours the love of God in (among) the hearts of the Israelis. He, the Spirit, has been given to the Israelis for such purposes. That way, the Israelis will seek the highest, best interest for those of other races (besides other Israelis) without regard to themselves. They will therefore become heroes ad heroines of the world, saving lives.

 

Where the Spirit Shows Things to Come

John 16:13 When He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all Truth. For He shall not speak from Himself. But He shall speak whatsoever He shall hear. And He will show you things to come.

 

This text gives much information about the Spirit of Truth and what He does:

  • He will come.
  • He will guide.
  • He will guide into all Truth. (Truth is what is absolute from Yehovah’s perspective.)
  • He will not speak from Himself, but will speak whatever He hears from Yehovah/Yeshua.
  • He will show the Israelis things to come.

 

(Those who claim to be filled with the Spirit of God normally have little or nothing in common with this list.)

 

Where the Spirit Signifies

Hebrews 9:6 Now, when these things were thus ordained, the priests always went into the first Tent, accomplishing the service, 7but the High Priest alone into the second once every year—not without blood that he offered for himself and the errors of the people, 8the Spirit of the Holy-[One] signifying this: that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest while the first Tent was yet standing, 9which is a figure for the time then present in which both gifts and sacrifices (that could not make him who did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience) were offered 10in only foods and drinks and various washings and physical ordinances imposed until the time of making-straight.

 

This text speaks of two Tents. The first Tent is the first chamber of the Tent of Appointment (wrongly rendered the tabernacle of the congregation). The second Tent is the chamber known as the Holy of Holies, since that is the chamber the High Priest alone entered once a year.

 

The High Priest entered this second chamber (the second Tent) with blood offered for himself and for the errors of the People of Israel. This text explains what this act signified. The way into the Holy of Holies was not yet made visible or obvious while the first Tent, the Tent of Appointment, was still standing. That Tent of Appointment was a figure. Gifts and Sacrifices that couldn’t make even the High Priest who did the service perfect were offered. Those gifts and sacrifices were only in the forms of the following:

  • Foods
  • Drinks
  • Washings
  • Physical Ordinances

 

Those commands were set to the priests and the Israelis until the time that all things will be made straight before Yehovah (versus crooked). The priests will then continue doing these things as teaching tools for non-Jewish folks and Jewish children.

 

1 Peter 1:10 The prophets (who prophesied of the grace unto you) diligently enquired and searched about [this] salvation, 11searching what (or what manner of) time the Spirit of the Messiah Who was in them did signify when He pre-testified the sufferings of the Messiah and the glory that will follow.

 

The prophets prophesied to the Israelis, speaking of the grace of God (his fervent, burning zeal by which He is motivated to take action for or against an object) that the Israelis experienced.

 

The same prophets diligently enquired and searched regarding this Salvation. They desired to know what time the Spirit of the Messiah signified when this would occur, and they desired to know what manner of time it would be when this Salvation was activated. They desired to know this information even while the Spirit pre-testified the sufferings of the Messiah, and the importance of the Messiah that would follow this event.

 

Where the Spirit Teaches

Luke 12:11 And when they [those who can kill the body, but have no power over the soul] bring you unto the synagogues and magistrates and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say. 12For the Spirit of the Holy-[One] shall teach you what ye ought to say in the same hour.

 

This is instant instruction—instruction needed exactly at that moment.

 

John 14:26 But the Consolator Who is the Spirit of the Holy-[One], Whom the Father will send in my name—He shall teach you all things and bring all things—whatsoever I have said unto you—to your remembrance.

 

This text has more information. The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel:

  • Will be sent by Yehovah the Father
  • Will be sent in Yeshua’s Name, and thus for Salvational purposes (since His Name is Salvation)
  • Will teach the Israelis
  • Will teach the Israelis all things
  • Will bring all things that Yeshua said to them to the remembrance of the Israelis

 

These are a lot of information!

 

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now, we have not received the spirit of the world, but rather the Spirit Who is from God so-that we will know the things that are freely given to us under God 13which things we also speak—not in the words that man’s wisdom teaches, but that the Spirit of the Holy-[One] teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

 

The Spirit of the Holy One teaches what these Israelis speak. They speak about the things that are freely give to the Israelis under God—under His authority. They know what these things are because the Spirit Who is from God was sent to them.

 

Where the Spirit Unifies

Ephesians 4:1 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called 2with all lowliness and meekness, forbearing one another in love with longsuffering, 3endeavouring to keep the Spirit’s unity in the bond of peace.”

 

Such a text is for those in Ephesus who are under tremendous strain and pressure. The entire group has one vocation (calling).

 

Individuals in this group must walk worthy of that calling. This will require being very patient with each other, enduring and forbearing each other, and not becoming quickly angry at each other. These are necessary ingredients for maintaining the unity that the Spirit of Yehovah has brought into this group. They are slaves of peace together.

 

Philippians 1:27 Only, your lifestyle shall be as it ‘becomes’ the gospel of Messiah so-that I may hear of your affairs—that ye stand fast in one Spirit striving together for the faith of the gospel with one mind whether I come and see you, or else am absent.

 

This Spirit can be the Spirit of Yehovah, or it can be the spirit of the group. I was not able to tell. In either case, that spirit had to be singular, and not more than one in which they stand. They must have one mind. There is no room for disagreement in these times since lives are at stake.

 

Philippians 2:1 If any consolation is in Messiah, therefore, if any stories of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and wombings, 2fulfill ye my joy—that ye be likeminded having the same love, of one accord, of one mind.

 

This fellowship of the Spirit is only possible if these folks are working together for a common cause, for a single set of goals in agreement and with a division of labour. This describes being unified.

 

1 Corinthians 6:16 “What? Don’t ye know that he who is joined to a whore is one body? For ‘Two,’ he says, ‘shall be one flesh.’ 17But he who is joined to Yehovah is one spirit.”

 

When a man and a woman are sexually joined, they become one flesh—one body. The same is true when a person is joined to Yehovah; that person becomes one spirit with Yehovah, joining to the Spirit of Yehovah. That is why there is unification.

 

Where the Spirit Works

1 Corinthians 12:7 The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to bear together. 8For,

  • the word of wisdom is given to one by the Spirit,
  • the word of knowledge to another by the same Spirit,
  • 9faith to another by the same Spirit,
  • the gifts of healing to another by the same Spirit,
  • 10the working of miracles to another,
  • prophecy to another,
  • discerning of spirits to another,
  • kinds of tongues to another,
  • the interpretation of tongues to another.

 

11But that One and the selfsame Spirit works all these, severally dividing to every man as He wills.

 

He doesn’t just give, but He also works all these things so that they are effective without confusion and without overlap.

 

Chapter 10: When the Spirit of Yehovah is Described as Enabling

Where Something is of, under, with, via, in, or from the Spirit

Prepositions are as important as pronouns in the Bible. Translators fudged them as they fudged so many things, having the perspectives that they better knew how to say what God was saying than God Himself did. I don’t agree.

 

The following texts will consider these prepositionally attached forms of the Spirit.

The Spirit gives the power and the direction.

 

Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? Having begun by means of the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by means of the flesh?

This, of course, would make no sense!

 

Galatians 5:5 For we wait for the hope of righteousness by means of the Spirit by faith.

 

The Israelis will wait for the expectation of righteousness—that all Israel will be righteous—by means of the Spirit of Messiah (Who gives that Hope).

 

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, walk by means of the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

 

He, the Spirit, is the standard by which one must walk (demonstrate a consistent lifestyle).

 

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers by means of the Spirit of the Holy-[One]…

 

He is the only one who can provide the means of participation!

 

Galatians 5:25 If we live by means of the Spirit, let us also walk by means of the Spirit.

 

That only makes sense!

The genitive case has more uses than most other cases, but in general a noun in the genitive case helps to limit the scope of another noun by indicating its “kind” or “class”. It is generally translated into English with a prepositional phrase starting with the word “of”. The most common use of the genitive is to show possession (although it does not necessarily indicate actual, literal ownership).

 

For instance: “the servant of the high priest” (Mark 14:47). The words “of the high priest” are in the genitive case in Greek and modify the word “servant”. (In Greek the word “of” is not present, but it is supplied in English in the translation of the genitive case). Here the genitive helps to qualify “which” servant the writer is referring to. It is helping to limit the sphere of all servants to a particular one.

 

And: “But you have received a spirit of sonship…” (Rom 8:15). Again the word “sonship” is in the genitive case, telling what kind of spirit [they] have received.

Acts 2:33 Therefore being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] promise under the Father, He has shed forth this that ye now see and hear.

 

If the Spirit of God can promise something, He is a person. Now, I know that all readings of this text are worded so that it states that they received the promise of the Spirit—that they received the Spirit of God. I cannot easily argue with this, but the next text (Acts 2:38) will tend to give credence to my proposal.

 

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, “Repent! And every one of you be immersed upon the Name of Yeshua, the One anointed for the remission of sins! And ye shall receive the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] gift.”

 

If the text states, “ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,” that implies to most readers that the Holy Spirit will be given to the person as if the Holy Spirit is an object. That is what most in modern Christianity believe. Many will claim, “I have the Holy Spirit!” as if they are owners of God in the same way that an owner of a car would make the same claim. (The works they do prove otherwise, of course.)

 

The expression, “ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,” can also mean that they will receive the gift that the Holy Spirit will give to them. What would that gift be? If it is everlasting life, why do they also need to be baptized to acquire it? That is where some denominations erroneously get the impression that baptism is practically or fully necessary for Salvation. If the gift is some empowerment, why is gift singular? Gifts would be more appropriate.

 

If that gift refers to life and the resurrection, however, and thus refers to the promise, its singularity makes sense. The next verse demonstrates this:

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off—as many as the Lord our God shall call.

 

Acts 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy-[One’s] Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

 

The seven men form a group. That group is full of the Spirit of Yeshua and full of Wisdom, another term referring to Yeshua. They obviously will refuse to sin.

 

Acts 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy-[One’s] Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch.

 

Stephen was full of faith as well as the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel.

 

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy-[One’s] Spirit, looked up steadfastly into the heavens. And he saw the glory of God, and Yeshua standing on the right hand of God.

 

The Spirit that he had was obviously directly identifiable with Yeshua’s Spirit.

 

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] power.

 

This Spirit obviously has power.

 

1 Corinthians 14:2 For He who speaks in a tongue doesn’t speak unto men, but unto God. For no man understands him. Howbeit he speaks Spirit mysteries.

 

These mysteries are what the Spirit teaches. All mysteries are solved mysteries in the Bible.

 

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Messiah Yeshua and the love of God and the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] fellowship be with you all.

 

This text identifies a particular type of fellowship: one that is of the variety that the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel gives. This will enable folks from very different backgrounds and social ranks to function together with a fervency for each other that will be almost unknown in history. It is all about working together.

 

Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation that began to be spoken by the Lord at the first, and was confirmed unto us by them who heard, 4God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles and gifts of the Holy-[One’s] Spirit according to His own will?

 

Messiah’s Spirit will amply provide all things necessary to bring folks to faith!

 

Where Under is Used

Matthew 4:1 Then Yeshua was led up under the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

 

I researched this word under in another document due to its usage in the expression, “under the law.” I was surprised to find how this word is used. One part was not surprising; it can refer to location (as in “under the tree”), but more often refers to something a little different, like under the auspices of, under the authority of, under the power of, etc. This text is no exception. Yeshua was not located under the Spirit, but He was under the authority and direction of the Spirit when He was led into the wilderness.

 

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him under the Spirit of the Holy-[One] that he would not see death before he had seen Yehovah’s Anointed-[One]. 27And he came in the Spirit into the Temple.

 

My interest in this section is in verse 26. Information was revealed unto him under the activity, authority and communication of the Spirit of Messiah: he wouldn’t see death before seeing Yehovah’s Anointed One.

 

Where With is Used

Micah 3:8 But truly I am full of power with the Spirit of Yehovah and of justice and of might to declare unto Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.

 

This is curious in Hebrew, using ‘et’ (usually a direct-object indicator, but sometimes meaning with). It means with in this text. This with is not akin to via (by means of), instead having more of the flavour of proximity (I propose). If this is the case, Micah was full of power, being accompanied by the Spirit of Yehovah and of justice and of might.

 

Where Via is Used

1 Chronicles 28:11 And David gave the pattern of the porch and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the lid, 12and the pattern of all that was with him to Solomon his son via the Spirit, of the courts of the house of Yehovah and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God and of the treasuries of the dedicated things…

 

David gave the pattern (singular) of all these things to Solomon. He gave it via the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Nehemiah 9:30 Yet thou forbore them many years and testified against them via Thy Spirit, via the hand of Thy prophets.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah was the means of Yehovah testifying against them; Yehovah used the hand of His prophets.

 

The following group of texts use via in the same way as above; folks did things by means of the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

Zechariah 7:12 They made their hearts as an adamant stone lest they will hearken-to the Torah and the words that Yehovah of armies sent via His Spirit via the hand of the former prophets.

 

Acts 1:2 Until the day in which He was taken up, after He had given commandments via the Spirit of the Holy-[One] unto the apostles whom He had chosen…

 

Acts 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus. And he signified via the Spirit that there would be great dearth throughout all the world, which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

 

Acts 21:4 And we tarried there seven days, finding disciples who said to Paul (via the Spirit) that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

 

Ephesians 3:16 That He would grant you to be strengthened with might via His Spirit into the inner man according to the riches of His glory…

 

2 Timothy 1:14 Keep that good thing that was committed unto thee via the Spirit of the Holy-[One] Who dwells in us!

 

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth via the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye fervently love one another with a pure heart.

 

Where In is Used

Matthew 12:28 “But if I cast out devils in the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

 

Just like with the word with above, in does not mean via (by means of). It shows location or relationship. “I am in the car” shows location; “I am in the Rotary Club” shows relationship.

 

One who is in the Spirit of Messiah is properly functioning as if the Spirit of Messiah is a club—that is, as if Messiah and others are a body where each individual member is participating with full membership, responsibilities and privileges. Anyone who is immersed (‘baptized’) into this body by the Spirit of Yehovah is a member, and is in Him.

 

Obviously, Yeshua (according to this text) was in the Spirit of God in this way.

 

Matthew 22:43 He says unto them, “How then does David call Him my Lords in Spirit?”

 

David was a prophet. When he spoke as a prophet, he spoke in the Spirit, showing the relationship of membership. Another text mentions this:

 

1 Corinthians 6:16 What? Don’t ye know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? For He says, “two shall be one flesh.” 17But he who is joined unto Yehovah is one spirit.

 

Thus, the person is in Yehovah, in the Spirit. (Yehovah is Spirit.)

 

Mark 12:36 For David himself in the Spirit of the Holy-[One] said, “Yehovah said to my Lord, ‘Sit Thou on my right hand until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.’”

 

I can see that all true prophets said what they did in the Spirit of Messiah.

 

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him under the Spirit of the Holy-[One] that he would not see death before he had seen Yehovah’s Anointed-[One]. 27And he came in the Spirit into the Temple.

 

My interest is in verse 27 in this section. This man came into the Temple; he was in the Spirit, indicating that he was about to prophesy.

 

Luke 4:1 And Yeshua being full of the Spirit of the Holy-[One] returned from Jordan, and was led in the Spirit into the wilderness.

 

Yeshua was full of the Spirit of the Holy One (a curious thing, since He is the Holy One!—yet He was born as a baby, and had to learn things as children must). Though He was full of the Spirit, the Spirit still led Him. Yet, He was also in the Spirit while being led. He was about to prophesy!

 

1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand that no man speaking in the Spirit of God calls Yeshua accursed, and that no man can say that Yeshua is Yehovah except in the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

This gives more evidence to what I have proposed above. One who is in the Spirit will be prophetically speaking.

 

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, workers together, also beseech that ye don’t receive the grace of God in vain 2(for He says, “I have heard thee in a time accepted, and I have succoured thee in the day of salvation. Behold, now is the accepted time! Behold, now is the day of salvation) 3giving no offence in anything so-that the ministry will not blamed, 4but approving ourselves as the ministers of God in all: in much endurance, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 5in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings, 6in pureness, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in kindness, in the Spirit of the Holy [One], in love unfeigned, 7in the word of truth, in the power of God, via the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8via honour and dishonour, via evil report and good report, as deceivers and true, 9as unknown, and well known, as dying and—behold—we live, as chastened and not killed, 10as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and possessing all things.

 

Verse 6 is the focus of this section. These Corinthian saints as a group must be in the Spirit of the Holy One. If they are in the Spirit, in the Word of Truth, and in the power of God, their actions will be miraculous and their words will be infallible. That is the least that one can expect of anyone in the Spirit of God.

 

Ephesians 2:18 For we both in one Spirit have access unto the Father through him.

 

This is a Jewish/Greek text, a text that groups these two groups into one group. That doesn’t often occur in the Bible (contrary to the views of many). Both Jews and Greeks in one Spirit have access unto Yehovah the Father through Messiah Yeshua. Approaching in that one Spirit will be an infallible approach.

 

Ephesians 2:22 In whom ye also in the Spirit are built together for a habitation of God.

 

Those who are in the Spirit are built together into a place for Yehovah to live. This is the Temple. It is a group text, not a text for individuals.

 

Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit…

 

The reversal should be glaring: the text doesn’t state that the Spirit is in His holy apostles and prophets, but rather that they are in the Spirit. This is the same wording as “in Christ,” showing Him to be a location. Anyone functioning in Him is doing right, doing Truth, doing justice.

 

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel didn’t come unto you only in word, but also in power and in the Spirit of the Holy-[One] and in much assurance, as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6And ye became followers of us and of Yehovah, having received the word in much affliction with the Spirit of the Holy-[One’s] joy.

 

This gospel (this beneficial proclamation) didn’t come unto them only in the form of words, but it also arrived in power and in the Spirit of the Holy One. Thus, the Spirit of Yeshua arrived, and He brought that proclamation, empowering the Saints to do miracles as needed to focus on the importance of that proclamation.

 

1 Peter 1:10 …concerning which salvation prophets (who prophesied of the grace toward you) sought out and searched out, 11searching to what (or what manner of) time the Spirit of Messiah in them was signifying, testifying beforehand of the sufferings to Messiah and the glories after these, 12to whom it was revealed that they were serving those things—not to themselves, but—to us, that were now announced to you by those who announced the beneficial proclamations to you in the Spirit of the Holy-[One] sent from the heavens, into which angels desire to look.

 

This is a somewhat confusing text. I will propose what it communicates:

  • The prophets prophesied of the grace toward the Gentiles.
  • The prophets sought out and searched out concerning the salvation.
  • The prophets searched to what time the Spirit of Messiah in them was signifying.
  • The prophets searched to what manner of time the Spirit of Messiah in them was signifying.
  • The prophets testified beforehand about the sufferings that Messiah would endure and the glories that would come after these.
  • It was revealed to the prophets that the prophets were serving those things to the Israeli disciples of Yeshua, not to themselves.
  • Those who brought the beneficial proclamation (of Salvation) to the Israelis now announced these things to them.
  • They made this announcement in the Spirit of Yeshua.

 

This shows placement, and it also shows that it was infallibly given. If anyone is in the Spirit, that person is doing exactly what is right.

 

Where From is Used

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Messiah Yeshua was on this wise. When as His mother Miriam was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child from the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. 19Then her husband Joseph, being righteous and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to privily divorce her. 20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of Yehovah appeared unto him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, thou son of David! Fear not to take Miriam thy woman unto thee! For what is conceived in her is from the Spirit of the Holy-[One].”

 

From shows source. It can be where something originates, or it can be the location from which something departed.

 

John 3:5 Yeshua answered, “Faith! Faith I say unto thee, except a man be born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God! 6That which is born from the flesh is flesh, and that which is born from the Spirit is spirit. 7Don’t marvel that I said unto thee, ‘Ye must be born again.’ 8The wind [same as spirit] blows where it wills, and thou hearest the sound thereof but cannot tell whence it comes and whither it goes! So is every one that is born from the Spirit.”

 

The Spirit is the source of the Waters of Life. One who is born from above must be born from the waters of life, from the Spirit of God. A text that shows that the two are the same follows:

 

John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, rivers of living water shall flow out of his belly!” 39(But He spoke this about the Spirit that they who believe on Him shall receive. For the Spirit of the Holy-[One] was not yet because Yeshua was not yet glorified.)

 

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, beholding the glory of Yehovah with open face, are changed into the same image as in a reflection—from glory to glory, according-as from the Spirit of Yehovah.

 

The source is the Spirit of Yehovah. Those Saints who will behold the brightness of Yehovah with open faces will be changed into the same image as in a reflection, just as the moon is a reflection of the Sun, and is still called a light source. Yeshua said that He is the light of the world; He also told the Israelis that they are (together) the light of the world. This text declares that it is literal; they will brightly glow as Moshe glowed when he beheld Yehovah with open faces. He was changed from brightness (that wasn’t giving off light) to brightness that gave off great light. The same event happened on the so-called ‘mount of transfiguration’ when Moshe and Elijah appeared with Yeshua. Yeshua had promised that some standing there would see the kingdom of God come with power.

 

Where the Spirit Drives

Mark 1:12 And immediately the Spirit drives Him into the wilderness.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah did not deal with Yeshua with carefulness as if Yeshua had been fragile. He thrust Him out into the wilderness; it was time for Yeshua to be tested by the Adversary himself.

 

Where the Spirit Gives Utterance

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One], and began to speak with languages as the Spirit gave them utterance.

 

The Spirit of Messiah is quite able to give a person the ability to speak in any language with any content at any time. This should be obvious, since Adam never had to be taught Hebrew; he knew it from the time he was awake after his being created.

 

Where the Spirit Moves Someone

Judges 13:25 And the Spirit of Yehovah began to move (pa-am in Hebrew) him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

 

This word always represents a rhythmical striking or stroke, like that of a present-day wind-up clock. This was unknown in the days of the Bible, of course, but still, the idea of rhythm and time was known.

 

All the texts that employ this verb either speak of or imply the spirit of a person becoming rhythmical. We would view that as quick, shallow breaths as if a person has been either greatly startled, is in fear, or is disturbed. This is part of normal hyperventilation.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah drove this man (Samson) to hyperventilation to take action, and he did.

 

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy didn’t come by the will of man in old time, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

This was not a physical moving, though it could have been. The minds of these holy men of God were carried—were ‘moved’ to speak what they did. That is how they were able to speak infallibly.

 

Where the Spirit Sends Someone

Isaiah 48:16 “Draw ye near unto me! Hearken ye to this! I did not speak from the beginning in secret. I am there from the time of her being! And now my Lords Yehovah sent me and His Spirit.”

 

Why do I have this text here? The normal rendering has the Spirit doing the sending. This rendering shows the Spirit being sent. I thus included it because of the normal less literal rendering.

 

Acts 13:4 So they departed unto Seleucia, being sent forth by the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. And they sailed to Cyprus from thence.

 

The Spirit of the Holy One did the sending in this text.

 

Where the Spirit Supplies

Philippians 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Messiah Yeshua…

 

What He supplies isn’t described. He does supply when supply is necessary for His goals.

 

Chapter 11: Where the Spirit Occupies or is Located Somewhere

Where the Spirit Dwells

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

 

The first and most obvious characteristic of this text is the last and the least obvious to most readers! The pronouns ye and you are both plural, yet the Temple is singular. “Ye are the Temple” informs a careful reader that a group comprises the Temple.

 

Modern (erroneous) ‘Christian’ theology usually teaches that each individual Saint is the Temple of God, and that his or her physical body is that Temple. Thus, mistreating one’s own body is mistreating the Temple of God. Now, this produces a problem. If the individual Saint’s physical body is the Temple, and if the Temple is the place where Yehovah resides, Yehovah is living inside of each individual Saint. This has obvious implications:

  • Each Saint had better make the right decisions about everything, because even the articles of clothing in which the Saint is dressed decorates Yehovah’s Temple.
  • Each Saint’s behaviour in all things is bringing the Temple of Yehovah into that behaviour.
  • The all-powerful Yehovah activates each Saint; there cannot be a lack of power inside any.
  • If a Saint dies, the Temple dies with the Saint.
  • If a Saint becomes unclean (by the descriptions given in the Torah), the Temple (and thus Yehovah) is made unclean.
  • A woman Saint is as much the Temple as a man Saint.
  • Two Temples get together to have children.

 

I could certainly go on with many other implications. It must suffice the reader to know that this isn’t what the Bible teaches. Instead, a group is the Temple, not an individual. All texts referring to this topic always address the Topic of the Temple as a group.

 

The Bible is normally group-centered. It isn’t designed like the United States of America is supposedly designed, with individualism being of premium worth and value. All who are part of a group are responsible for what the group does, and all who function in that group must be responsible to benefit that group. Even Salvation from sin includes placing an individual into a group, according to the Bible.

 

While this would not be popularly received in countries where individualism is key, it is a vital part of the ethics and morality of Yehovah. It is true that each individual person will be individually judged for works he or she did. That is how rank is determined. Yet, that rank is only possible if that person will be part of a group; an individual carries no rank with himself!

 

2 Timothy 1:14 Keep that good thing that was committed unto thee by the Spirit of the Holy-[One] who dwells in us.

 

The Spirit of the Holy One dwells in a group. I know that most read these texts as if they declare that the Spirit of God dwells in individuals; and He can and does, at times. These texts are not teaching this, however. That Spirit of Yeshua dwells in a group, and the texts surrounding these texts show how individuals are responsible to the group and to the Spirit of Yeshua who dwells in the group.

 

1 John 3:23 This is His commandment: that we shall believe on the Name of His Son Messiah Yeshua [the Anointed Salvation], and love one another as He gave us commandment. 24And He who keeps His commandments dwells in him, and He in him. And we know that He abides in us by this: by the Spirit that He has given us.

 

Read this text very carefully. The first of the two verses has a commandment: to believe on the Name of His Son. That Name is Salvation. The action from that belief will be to love one another (as He gave the Israelis commandment). Anyone who keeps Yehovah’s Son’s commandments dwells in that Salvation, and that Salvation dwells in that person!

 

The text continues by explaining that we (the Israelis) know that this Salvation abides in them by one particular characteristic: by the Spirit that the Son has given to them. That Spirit drives them to save lives even at the cost of their own lives.

 

Where the Spirit Falls upon Someone

Ezekiel 11:5 And the Spirit of Yehovah fell upon me. And He said unto me, “Speak! Thus says Yehovah, ‘Thus have ye said, House of Israel! For I know the things that come into your spirit—every one of them!’”

 

When the Spirit falls upon a person, He descends rapidly upon that person for the purpose of that person doing a vital and impossible assignment.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah does not need to come upon anyone who could do an assignment without His help, power and miraculous ability. If a person can do something on his or her own accord, that person is responsible to do it if assigned by the Spirit of Yehovah to do it. Thus, every Saint is assigned to walk righteously, period. That doesn’t require a supernatural force.

 

When the Spirit of Yehovah assigns a person to do what that person could not succeed in doing (without aid), however, He gives that person everything necessary to fully succeed in the assignment. That sometimes means that the person must be able to do miracles.

 

A miracle is any action that totally defies and violates true science in order to benefit others. I propose that true science is what God knows, not what humans are still attempting to figure in all areas of science. Humans come up with hypotheses, theories, and even things that they take to be infallibly true. They change their minds on any of these ideas if the ideas are later proven wrong or skewed if they don’t religiously cling to their errors. (Religiously clinging to errors is a normal part of the lives of most scientists; they are very religious, holding the goddess Mother Nature as their deity with Natural Selection being her main power.) True science never is proven wrong and is never wrong. A miracle goes outside the boundaries of true science.

 

A miracle is always done to benefit (good guys). It may not benefit bad guys, though some can, but it always benefits.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua will fall on a person who must do at least one miracle in order to accomplish what is necessary. Falling upon and coming upon a person differs, since falling upon implies rapid action on the part of the person who must do the miracle(s). With that power comes boldness that doesn’t make psychological sense, and which is also necessary in the case of these types of miracles that require the Spirit of Yehovah to fall upon a person.

 

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spoke these words, the Spirit of the Holy-[One] fell upon all of them who heard the word.

 

These folks also took rapid action after the Spirit of Messiah fell upon them.

 

Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Spirit of the Holy-[One] fell upon them as on us at the beginning.

 

Peter explained that what had occurred with these non-Jewish folks was the same species that occurred with the Jewish folks in Acts 2. It was rapid and instantaneous so that these folks had power from Yeshua, and they knew how to use that power.

 

Where One Has the Spirit

1 Corinthians 7:40 But she is happier if she so abides, according-to my judgment. And I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

 

Having the Spirit of God implies several things:

 

The person will think like the Spirit of God thinks in a particular situation. (That, in itself, implies many things.)

 

The person will speak like the Spirit of God would speak if He were minded to directly speak.

 

The person’s justice will exactly mimic the justice of the Spirit of God in each case.

 

A person who thinks he or she has the Spirit of God and who doesn’t is therefore quite arrogant, and may be about to commit blasphemy. (That is accomplished by claiming that the Spirit of God thinks, speaks and/or rules on justice in a way and at a time that the Spirit of God doesn’t!)

 

Where the Spirit Stands in the Midst of Folks

Haggai 2:4 “Yet now, be strong, Zerubbabel,” says Yehovah. “And be strong, Joshua son of Josedech, the High Priest. And be strong, all ye people of the land,” says Yehovah. “And work! For I am with you,” says Yehovah of hosts—5 “the word that I covenanted with you when ye exited Egypt. And my Spirit stands in your midst! Fear ye not.”

 

This text describes the Spirit of Yehovah standing in the midst of a group. It is not referring to the Spirit inside (in the midst of) an individual. Other texts must be used to demonstrate this.

 

If the Spirit of Yehovah is in the midst of a group, He is there to give success to a work that must be done by the group.

 

This text shows a demarcation and distinction between Yehovah of Hosts and The Spirit, since Yehovah says, “my Spirit stands…” Yet, a careful reader of the Bible from its beginning will have normally understood that Yehovah is a Spirit, and Yehovah and His Spirit are not exactly separate! (This should prepare a careful reader for the idea of the Messiah both being God and being a separate entity.)

 

Where One is Anointed with the Spirit

Acts 10:37 Ye know that word that was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee after the baptism that John preached, 38how God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Spirit of the Holy-[One] and with power, Who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed under the devil. For God was with Him.

 

This is the only text I found where one is anointed with the Spirit of God (using that wording). Other texts refer to the Spirit coming upon folks, etc.

 

Being anointed is being assigned in the Bible, along with being given all necessary equipment to complete the assignment. Just because a person is anointed by Yehovah doesn’t mean that person is even born of God. Some very evil folks were anointed by God. For example, consider Hazael in the following texts:

 

1 Kings 19:15 And Yehovah said unto [Elijah], “Go! Return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when thou comest, anoint Hazael king over Syria.”

 

2 Kings 8:12 And Hazael said, “Why does my lord weep?” And he answered, “Because I know the bad that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel. Thou wilt set their strong holds on fire, and thou wilt slay their young men with the sword. And thou wilt dash their children and rip up their pregnant women.” 13And Hazael said, “But what? Is thy servant a dog that he should do this great thing?” And Elisha answered, “Yehovah showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.”

 

Being anointed with the Spirit of Yehovah is therefore also for an assignment. Yeshua had a vital assignment that required the Spirit of Yehovah for its success.

 

Many claim to be anointed with the Spirit of God today. It is popular in Christianity to make such a claim. This arrogant presumption doesn’t carry with it the type of proof that the Bible requires. If a person were anointed with the Spirit of God, success in the assignment (whatever it is) would be 100%. The assignment will always be to save lives. A person who is truly anointed will not be so stupid as to declare that he/she is anointed, but will do the works that cause others to draw that conclusion, including those who do not believe the Bible. When unbelievers know that a person is anointed by a God in whom they don’t believe, they give evidence that the anointing is true. There is far too much scatology in modern Christianity.

 

Where One is Baptized with the Spirit

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But He who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He shall baptize you with the Spirit of the Holy-[One] and with fire 12Whose fan is in His hand. And He will thoroughly purge His floor and gather His wheat into the garner. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire!

 

This baptism is not of individuals, but of a group (since you is always plural in translations that use the more specific pronouns). This group consists of all the Israelis. One part of this group will be baptized with the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel. The other part will be baptized with fire. That part of the group that baptized with the Spirit of the Holy One will be able to do assignments and great works in righteousness.

 

Acts 1:8 Ye shall receive power after the Spirit of the Holy-[One] is come upon you.

 

That part of the group that will be baptized with fire are damned; they will be permanently baptized in the Lake of Fire and Sulfur.

 

The following texts are in the same category:

 

Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water. But He shall baptize you with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, “I indeed baptize you with water. But one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose. He shall baptize you with the Spirit of the Holy-[One] and with fire 17Whose fan is in His hand. And He will thoroughly purge His floor and will gather the wheat into His garner. But he will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.

 

Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water. But ye shall be baptized with the Spirit of the Holy-[One] not many days hence.

 

Acts 11:16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how that He said, “John indeed baptized with water. But ye shall be baptized with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].”

 

The careful reader will note that the fire is not mentioned in the above Acts texts. That fire is for the damned, not for the assigned.

 

Where One is Filled with the Spirit

Exodus 28:3 And thou—thou shalt speak unto all wise-[ones] of heart whom I filled him, Spirit of Wisdom. And they shall make the garments of Aharon to sanctify him to priest him to me.

 

Exodus 31:3 And I filled him, Spirit of Elohim via wisdom and via understanding and via knowledge and via every errand 4to think thoughts to do via gold and via silver and via copper 5and via cutting of stone to fill and via cutting of a tree to do via every errand.

 

Exodus 35:31 And He filled him, Spirit of Elohim via wisdom, via understanding, and via knowledge, and via every errand 32to think thoughts to do via gold and via silver and via copper 33and via cutting of stone to fill and via cutting of a tree to do via every errand of thoughtfulness.

 

The above three texts use the same wording. The first and second texts specify, “I filled him, Spirit of Wisdom.” This indicates a distinction between the speaker and the Spirit with which they and he were filled. The third text would not be so clear if the first two texts had not been present, since the wording could have indicated that the Spirit of Wisdom is the He who did the filling!

 

If a person is filled with the Spirit of Yehovah in any form—that is, via wisdom, via understanding, via knowledge, via every errand, etc., the person will be able to do the errand—the work assignment and mission—with total infallibility. No person can claim to have even a piece of the Spirit of Elohim in the form mentioned above who cannot do the work with infallibility. (Those today who claim to have the Spirit of God do have a spirit, and it does belong to their god, but it isn’t the Biblically identified Spirit of Elohim if that spirit has no demonstration of infallible and excellent works and miracles.)

 

Deuteronomy 34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was filled, Spirit of Wisdom. For Moshe laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel hearkened unto him. And they did as Yehovah commanded Moshe.

 

Joshua was also filled, and therefore could do his ‘errand’ with infallibility. He was filled, having been given the Spirit of Wisdom (one of the seven Spirits of Yehovah mentioned in Isaiah 11:2). Wisdom (used here, and in the feminine gender) is a person, not an attribute; the same word in the masculine gender indicates the attribute.

 

Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of Yehovah. And he shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One]—even from his mother’s womb.

 

John the Immerser (Baptist) was filled with the Spirit of the Holy One from birth. That didn’t mean that John was born of God from birth. The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel is not limited to only occupy those who are born of God.

 

Luke 1:41 And it was, that the baby leaped in her womb, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Miriam. And Elisabeth was filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

She then could do her assignment/errand with infallibility.

 

Does this infallibility mean that a person thus filled cannot sin? Of course, it does not mean that. A mortal can sin, but that is very stupid if the person is born of God. Miriam was born of God. (She also had sense.) Being able to do something exactly right doesn’t guarantee that a person will, but it will not be difficult for the person to do it exactly right.

 

Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. And he prophesied.

 

He thus was able to prophesy without diverting into any error.

 

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. And they began to speak with other languages as the Spirit gave them utterance.

 

This is most useful, since infallibility covered all of the following:

 

They spoke languages they didn’t know (and that others present recognized and fluently knew) with proper grammar, a perfect accent, and with perfect clarity to those who understood the language.

 

They themselves understood exactly what they were saying.

 

They spoke exactly the right words that the Spirit of the Holy One gave to them.

 

Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One], said unto them, “Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel…”

 

Now, Peter could infallibly speak.

 

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together. And they were all filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. And they spoke the word of God with boldness.

 

Here is another demonstration of the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel: boldness. (Some folks exhibit what they think is boldness when they speak all the time and in all places about God and their religions, thinking that they are ‘witnessing.’ The only things to which they witness is their own inconsideration, ignorance, and lack of the fear of God. Those who Biblically witness always do so when they are called upon to do so, when it is wise, and when such a witness is necessary. Then, when they do witness, they speak of things that would be acceptable in a court testimony, not of their opinions of themselves or God.) This boldness was necessary because they were bringing their own lives into risk of death. There were real enemies who might attempt to stop them by accusing them and having them killed.

 

Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way. And he entered into the house. And putting his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul! The Lord—even Yeshua Who appeared unto thee in the way as thou came—has sent me so-that thou wilt receive thy sight and be filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One]!”

 

One person who is behaving as a prophet is able to ‘impart’ the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel to others. Only a true prophet or one filled with the Spirit of God can do this. (Thus, every person laying hands on another to ‘impart’ some ‘spiritual’ item, gift, calling, or whatever is claiming both infallibility in this and claiming to be likewise filled, as a true prophet of the God of the Bible. Doing this action without having the proper credentials is blasphemy.)

 

Acts 11:24 For he was a good man, and Spirit of the Holy-[One]– and faith–filled.

 

This man, Barnabas, was filled both with the Spirit of the Holy One and with faith! He was an amazing person in the Bible. He was gentle, and seemed fearless.

 

Acts 13:9 Then Saul (who also is called Paul), filled with the Spirit of the Holy-[One], set his eyes on [Elymas].

 

If you read the rest of this event, Saul set a temporary curse of blindness on Elymas because of what he had been doing. One who is filled with the Spirit of this God can do that type of action when it is wise.

 

Acts 13:52 And the disciples were joy– and Spirit-of-the-Holy-[One]–filled.

 

The excitement of having real opposition along with others coming to a true faith (not a modern ‘Christian’ type of faith) was very great.

 

Ephesians 5:15 See, then, that ye walk circumspectly—not as fools, but as wise, 16redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what is the will of Yehovah. 18And do not be drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit, 19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to Yehovah, 20always confessing unto God and the Father for all things in the Name of our Lord Messiah Yeshua, 21submitting yourselves to one another in the fear of God.

 

This text told the past and future Ephesian folks what to do and how to behave during intense persecution. The Spirit of Yehovah commanded them to be filled with the Spirit. That way, they can infallibly do the errands they must do that will result in the lives of others being saved. The Name of the Lord Messiah Yeshua is Salvation, and that is the essence of the work they did and will be doing in Ephesus.

 

Where the Spirit is Given

Nehemiah 9:20 And Thou gave Thy good Spirit to ‘prudence’ them. And Thou didn’t withhold Thy manna from their mouth. And Thou gave them water for their thirst.

 

These were unbelieving Israelis to whom Yehovah gave His good Spirit to cause them to be prudent. They were not born of God; that didn’t stop Yehovah from giving them His Spirit so that they would be wise enough to do well while they died off in the wilderness! Their children went into the Land of Canaan to possess her.

 

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the land as it was. And the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

 

This spirit isn’t like the others I have been considering. It is the spirit of Yehovah that gives mortal life to a physical body of a person, but it isn’t the Spirit of Yehovah that gives miraculous abilities. All living things (plant, animal, fungus, etc.) have the loaned spirit of God—loaned so that those living things live. When anything living dies, that spirit that was loaned goes back to Yehovah who gave the spirit in the first place.

 

Isaiah 42:5 So said the Mighty-[One] Yehovah Elohim, Creator of the heavens and the stretcher of them, the beater-thin of the land and her excrescences─He gave a soul to a People upon her and a spirit to the walkers in her: 6 “I am Yehovah! I have called thee in righteousness! And I gripped into thy hand! And I formed thee. And I gave thee for a Covenant of a People, for a light of races 7to perspicuate blind eyes, to send-out a prisoner from the enclosure, from the house of arrest, the dwellers of darkness.”

 

Yehovah easily gives one spirit to a group. The group can do the same infallible works as filled individuals can do. All of Israel will be filled with the Spirit of Yehovah during the entire Millennium, and they will also all come to faith, having refused to sin from their childhoods.

 

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Spirit of the Holy-[One] to them that ask Him?

 

This text has a very specific timing. Violating timings of texts will always lead to wrong theology, wrong understandings, and wrong views of the God of the Bible. Such violations are common sources of bitterness against God, since expectations of God are set in wrong understandings.

 

Those who will be asking for the Spirit of Yeshua, the Holy One of Israel, will not necessarily be born of God at that time. I underscore this idea because readers normally assume that only those who are born of God can possibly have His Spirit. Since both King Saul and Balaam had the Spirit of God for a time, and both died in their sins, a person can have the Spirit of God and not be born of God.

 

During the Tribulation, Jewish (and non-Jewish) individuals will see the need of the Spirit of God, and will ask. He will not refuse to give His Spirit if the person is set on doing right (like saving the lives of Jewish widows, orphans, etc., or visiting them in prison, clothing them, etc.).

 

John 3:34 For He whom God has sent [referring to Yeshua] speaks the words of God. For God doesn’t give the Spirit unto Him by measure.

 

If He doesn’t give the Spirit to Him by measure, He gives Him the full amount of the Spirit—that is, the full amount that is Yehovah! Yeshua therefore has no limits on the miraculous works He can do.

 

John 7:37 In that last great day of the feast, Yeshua stood and shouted, saying, “If any man thirsts, he will come unto me, and drink! 38He who believes on me, rivers of waters of life shall flow out of his belly as the scripture hath said!” 39(But He spoke this of the Spirit that they who believe on Him shall receive. For the Spirit of the Holy-[One] was not given yet because Yeshua was not yet glorified.)

 

This text directly identifies the waters of life with the Spirit that those who believe on Yeshua will receive. Since those who believe will now be a source of the waters of life, others will have their physical and everlasting lives saved through these folks! The Spirit does give life; He is Life!

 

John 20:22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them. And He says unto them, “Receive ye the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. 23Whosesoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them! And whosesoever sins ye retain, they are retained.

 

If Yeshua gives His Spirit to a group, as in this case, that group can have and use the power to both remit sins and to cause sins to be retained. This text has a timing, as do most texts in the Bible. Sin remitting or retaining will especially be important during the Tribulation.

 

Some folks are taught by their churches (especially the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches) that their priests have the power to do this now. If this isn’t the case (because some folks took these texts out of their proper contextual settings and timings), a lot of folks have died with their full measure of unremitted sins.

 

Acts 8:14 When the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John unto them 15Who prayed for them, when they were come down, that they might receive the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. 16(For as yet, He was fallen upon none of them. They were only baptized in the Name of the Lord Yeshua.) 17They then laid hands on them, and they received the Spirit of the Holy-[One]. 18And when Simon saw that the Spirit of the Holy-[One] was given through laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money, 19saying, “Give me also this power!—that on whomsoever I lay hands, he will receive the Spirit of the Holy-[One]!” 20But Peter said unto him, “Thy money perish with thee! For thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter! For thy heart is not right in the sight of God.”

 

Apostles are missionaries; nothing more and nothing less. A missionary must be called, and that calling must fit the pattern and standards of the Bible. That almost never is the case today, but then, almost none of those who claim to be called pastors fit the criteria of a Biblical calling.

 

This was not the case in Yeshua’s time. Those who were called by Yeshua were truly called. They also were given the ability to prophesy—that is, to infallibly quote Yehovah/Yeshua. That included one more ability, when necessary: the ability to lay hands on another to transfer the Spirit of Yeshua to that person.

 

The laying on of hands always has to do with transference. This was also a good way to confirm that a person did have the Spirit of God. Local prophets who were true prophets of Yehovah were normally known (even if some folks hated them). If a known prophet laid hands on another, those who knew that the prophet was a true prophet of the Almighty would then know that transference had occurred—the Spirit that was in the true prophet was now in that person. The one who laid hands on the other person did not experience any diminishing of the Spirit inside him/her.

 

Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water so-that these who have received the Spirit of the Holy-[One] as well as we should not be baptized?

 

This text notes that a non-Jewish group can also receive the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel! The following text confirms this group event:

 

Acts 15:8 And God, Who knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Spirit of the Holy-[One] even as He did unto us.

 

Acts 19:2 He said unto them, “Have ye received the Spirit of the Holy-[One] since ye believed?” And they said unto him, “We have not so much as heard whether there be any Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

The source of their faith was from John the Baptist. It was a correct faith, but it didn’t mention the Holy One (Yeshua) or His Spirit. Therefore, they didn’t know about Yeshua’s Spirit.

 

Galatians 3:2 “This only would I learn of you: Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the Torah, or by the hearkening of faith?”

 

This tells a person how to receive the Spirit of Yeshua:

 

One first gains the Word of God by some accurate means. It can be through the writing of Scripture, it can be through a proper understanding of the constellations (since Yehovah wrote His Truth in the constellations, though astrologers are almost always theological liars, applying constellations to folks’ lives, just like preachers do with the Bible); it can be by a direct revealing from the Biblical God.

 

One then hearkens to that word: listens to it, and believes it (only obeying it if its commands are truly for that reader, like the commands to fear Yehovah and to do righteousness).

 

After hearkening, faith can come. If it does, that is the hearkening of faith.

 

Yehovah/Yeshua, at His discretion, will give His Spirit to a group, and sometimes to individuals. He only does that when it is both necessary and will be profitable to righteousness, saving lives, etc.

 

1 Thessalonians 4:8 He therefore that despises doesn’t despise man, but God Who has also given unto us His Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

This is again a group text. This group, identified as us, refers to the Israelis (not to the Thessalonians). Be able to rightly identify pronouns in all books of the Bible.

 

1 John 3:24 And he who keeps His commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And we know that He abides in us by this: by the Spirit that He has given us.

 

1 John 4:13 We know that we dwell in Him and He in us by this: because He has given us of His Spirit.

 

Are you surprised to see another two group texts, where the Spirit has been given to a group?

 

This also gives the proof that Yeshua abides in (among) a group, and a group dwells in Him: the Spirit of God will be very active in the most obvious ways. (This is also proof that the Spirit of the Biblical God isn’t found in nearly all churches that claim linkages to the Bible. Words and songs do not give evidence of the Spirit of God; power, and Biblically profitable and lasting events together give proof.)

 

Where the Spirit is Inside of Someone

Numbers 27:16 “Yehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall set a man over the congregation 17who will go out before them and who will go in before them, and who will lead them out and who will bring them in. And the congregation of Yehovah will not be as sheep that have no shepherd.” 18And Yehovah said unto Moses, “Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit. And lay thy hand upon him. 19And set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. And give him a command in their sight.”

 

This text shows the distinctions between the spirits that Yehovah lends to all flesh and the Spirit of Yehovah that is very rarely demonstrated. The Spirit of Yehovah was inside Joshua.

 

Isaiah 63:11 Then He remembered the days of old—Moshe and His people, saying, “Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put inside him the Spirit of His Holy-[One]?

 

Installing Yehovah’s Spirit inside of an individual is for a very special purpose: to do the impossible on a regular basis.

 

Ezekiel 2:2 And a Spirit came into me just as He spoke unto me. And she stood me upon my feet. And I hearkened-to the speaker unto me.

 

Spirit is feminine in this text. (Yehovah sometimes has ‘spirit’ be masculine.) A word’s gender distinguishes it from a word of the other gender when pronouns follow. Be aware that spirit and wind are the same word in Hebrew. She refers to the spirit.

 

Ezekiel 3:24 Then a Spirit came into me. And she stood me upon my feet. And He spoke with me. And He said unto me, “Come! Imprison thyself within thy house.”

 

This is akin to the above text. She (the Spirit) stands him up, and He, Yehovah, speaks with Ezekiel.

 

Put the two texts together, and the appearance is that Ezekiel doesn’t continually have the Spirit in residence inside of him; the Spirit seems to come and go. The purpose of the Spirit’s coming is the real issue. She comes to stand him on his feet, not to give him supernatural abilities. Ezekiel is already a prophet, and therefore He must have the Spirit of God in order to infallibly do that.

 

Ezekiel 37:1 Hand of Yehovah was upon me. And He exited me via the Spirit of Yehovah. And He rested me in the midst of the valley. And she is filled: bones! 2And He crossed-me-over upon them around, around. And behold, very multiplied upon the faces of the valley! And behold, very dry! 3And He said unto me, “Son of Adam! Will these bones make-themselves-live?” And I said, “My Lords Yehovah, Thou, Thou knew.” 4And He said unto me, “Prophesy upon these bones! And thou shalt say unto them, ‘The Dry Bones! Hearken-ye! A speech of Yehovah!’” 5 “So said my Lords Yehovah to these bones, ‘Behold, I am bringing a spirit into you! And ye shall live! 6And I will give sinews upon you! And I will make-ascend flesh upon you! And I will overspread skin upon you. And I will give a spirit into you! And ye shall live! And ye shall know that I am Yehovah!’” 7And I prophesied just-as I was commanded. And a voice was as I prophesied. And behold a quaking! And bones approached, a bone unto his bone. 8And I saw. And behold, sinews are upon them! And flesh ascended. And skin overspread upon them from above. And there is no spirit in them. 9And He said unto me, “Prophesy unto the Spirit! Prophesy, son of Adam! And thou shalt say unto the Spirit, ‘So said my Lords Yehovah, “Come, Spirit, from four of the spirits! And breathe into these slain!” And they shall live!’” 10And I prophesied just-as He commanded me. And the spirit came into them. And they lived! And they stood upon their feet—a very, very big army! 11And He said unto me, “Son of Adam! These bones are all the House of Israel! They—behold, they are saying, ‘Our bones dried. And our hope shall perish. We were cut-off/divided to us!’ 12Therefore, prophesy! And thou shalt say unto them, ‘So said my Lords Yehovah, “Behold I am opening your graves. And I will cause-you-to-ascend from your graves, my people! And I will bring you unto soil of Israel! 13And ye shall know that I am Yehovah via my opening your graves and via my causing-you-to-ascend from your graves, my people! 14And I will give my Spirit into you. And ye shall live. And I will rest you upon your soil. And ye shall know that I Yehovah spoke, and I will do!” declared Yehovah.

 

This is quite a text. The word spirit is used a number of times, and its usage isn’t the same in all cases. The spirit that gives life to the physical bodies of these slain folks and the Spirit that gives everlasting life to persons is from the very same Source. Yet, the spirit/Spirit functions in a different way as if there are two separate spirits; yet there aren’t. It is a division of labour within One Spirit.

 

If you properly read this text, it is describing quite a phenomenon. Israel is split into two separate kingdoms: the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. Each kingdom has its own capital city: Samaria and Jerusalem. Each kingdom has its principle tribe that defines the kingdom: Ephraim and Judah. (The tribal name of Judah and the kingdom’s name, Judah, are the same. This can confuse careless readers.) The problem is this: sometime in the future (from our time), the entire House of Israel will be slaughtered, leaving only a little more than two tribes: Judah and the Levites. This will bring a dead halt to the entire plan of God if it isn’t reversed. So, Yehovah proves the literal truthfulness of the following text:

 

Romans 8:38 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other creation shall be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord!”

 

Us in this text refers to the Israelis, of course. So, Yehovah will raise the annihilated tribes of Israel from the dead, placing them back into mortal bodies (so that they can bear children), and reversing a holocaust that will greatly exceed all that have been in history.

 

When He places His Spirit in them the first time, it is so that they will physically live. When He does it the second time, I propose that it will be so that they will obtain everlasting life. This event precedes the Tribulation by quite a period of time. It cannot be fit into the Tribulation; that would violate other texts that refer to the continuing presence of all the tribes of Israel during that time.

 

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him Who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also make-alive your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah is the One who causes the resurrection to occur.

 

Where the Spirit is upon Someone

Numbers 11:17 And I will descend. And I will speak with thee there. And I will proximate from the Spirit that is upon thee. And I will put it upon them. And they shall bear the burden of the people with thee. And thou shalt not carry, thyself alone.

 

Numbers 11:25 And Yehovah descended in a cloud. And He spoke to him. And He proximated from the Spirit that was upon him. And He gave upon the seventy elders. And he was as the Spirit rested upon them. And they prophesied and did not cease. 26And two men remained in the camp. The name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them! And they were in the written-[ones]. And they didn’t exit toward the Tent. And they prophesied in the camp.

 

Numbers 11:29 And Moses said unto him, “Dost thou envy to me? Who will give all Yehovah’s people prophets?” For Yehovah gave His Spirit upon them.

 

These three texts have a common description of the Spirit of God being put or given upon folks. The Spirit of Yehovah rested upon them. Though this sounds temporary, that doesn’t mean that it was.

 

I used a made-up verb: to proximate, since the Hebrew verb means to be near, nearby, in the proximity of. All adjectives and adverbs in Hebrew can be turned into verbs. I figured that this meant that Yehovah came near to Moshe, and He took an approximation of the ministerial gift that Moshe had to deal with the people of Israel.

 

Numbers 24:2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes. And he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes. And the Spirit of God came upon him.

 

Here is a case of an unbeliever with the Spirit of God coming upon him. Yehovah did this to control the words that Balaam spoke so that they would be an infallible set of prophecies.

 

Judges 3:10 And the Spirit of Yehovah came upon him. And he judged Israel. And he went out to war. And Yehovah delivered Chushanrishasaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand. And his hand prevailed against Chushanrishasaim.

 

This man was called by Yehovah to judge Israel. The callings of God are ‘without repentance’—Yehovah doesn’t take them away. Though Balaam (above text) wasn’t called, and the Spirit came upon him to control him, this man was called. Thus, the Spirit of God stayed on him.

 

Judges 11:29 Then the Spirit of Yehovah came upon Jephthah.

 

Jephthah again was a called one of Yehovah.

 

The next three texts are about Samson:

 

Judges 14:6 And the Spirit of Yehovah prospered upon him. And he tore him as he would have torn a goat-kid. And he had nothing in his hand. And he didn’t tell his father or his mother what he had done.

 

Judges 14:19 And the Spirit of Yehovah prospered upon him. And he went down to Ashkelon. And he slew thirty men of them and took their spoil. And he gave change of garments unto them who expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled. And he went up to his father’s house.

 

Judges 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Palestinians shouted against him. And the Spirit of Yehovah prospered upon him. And the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burned with fire. And his bands loosed from off his hands.

 

These three texts refer to the Spirit of Yehovah prospering upon Samson. This shows a very definite stand by the Spirit of Yehovah for Samson to do what he did: slaughter and/or escape! Yehovah was invested in Samson in these doings. (The Palestinians won’t like this.) 1 Samuel 16:13 below is a fourth instance of the Spirit prospering.

 

1 Samuel 10:6 And the Spirit of Yehovah will come upon thee. And thou shalt prophesy with them. And shalt be turned into another man.

 

1 Samuel 10:10 And when they came there to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him. And the Spirit of God came upon him. And he prophesied among them.

 

The Spirit of Yehovah came upon Saul. He then began to prophesy. The man never was born of God.

 

1 Samuel 11:6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings. And his anger was kindled greatly. 7And he took a yoke of oxen. And he hewed them in pieces. And he sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, “Whosoever doesn’t come after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen!” And the fear of Yehovah fell on the people. And they came out with one consent.

 

Saul did well (in this case) by the Spirit of Yehovah, and the fear of Yehovah fell on the people of Israel.

 

1 Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil. And he anointed him in the midst of his brethren. And the Spirit of Yehovah prospered upon David from that day forward.

 

David was now prepared for the work he would do; he was called to rule in Israel. The Spirit prospered upon David!

 

Please do not miss the association of being anointed by a prophet and the Spirit of Yehovah coming on the person who was anointed.

 

1 Samuel 19:20 And Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul! And they also prophesied!

 

1 Samuel 19:23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah. And the Spirit of God was upon him also. And he went on. And prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

 

Yehovah used His Spirit’s coming upon folks to keep them from doing something that Yehovah determined would not take place! These men prophesied, and could not complete their evil missions!

 

1 Chronicles 12:18 And the Spirit came upon Amasai who was chief of the captains. And he said, “We are thine, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse! Peace! Peace be unto thee, and peace be to thy helpers! For thy God helps thee!” And David received them and made them captains of the band.

 

The Spirit of God gave this man the words to say; he prophesied a miniature prophecy!

 

2 Chronicles 15:1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded. 2And he went out to meet Asa. And he said unto him, “Hear ye me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin! Yehovah is with you while ye are with Him! And if ye seek Him, He will be found by you. And if ye forsake Him, He will forsake you. 3Now for a long season, Israel is without the true God and without a teaching priest and without Torah. 4But when they in their trouble did turn unto Yehovah God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. 5And in those times, no peace is to him who went out nor to him who came in, but great vexations are upon all the inhabitants of the countries. 6And race was destroyed by race and city by city. For God did vex them with all adversity. 7Be ye strong, therefore, and your hands shall not be weak. For your work shall be rewarded.”

 

This is a case where the Spirit of Yehovah both gave boldness and infallible prophecy.

 

2 Chronicles 20:14 And Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph—the Spirit of Yehovah came upon him in the midst of the congregation. 15And he said, “Hearken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says Yehovah unto you, ‘Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16Tomorrow, go ye down against them. Behold, they are ascending by the cliff of Ziz. And ye shall find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness of Jeruel. 17Ye shall not fight in this. Set yourselves.’ Stand ye and see the salvation of Yehovah with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow, go out against them. For Yehovah is with you!”

 

This text is similar to the above text; it describes the Spirit of Yehovah coming upon a person who then becomes both bold and prophetic, prophesying commands that must be carried out to save lives.

 

2 Chronicles 24:20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest who stood above the people. And he said unto them, “Thus says the Elohim [the Gods], ‘Why transgress ye the commandments of Yehovah? And ye shall not prosper! For ye forsook Yehovah. And He forsook you!’”

 

When the Spirit of Elohim came upon Zechariah, he both prophesied and became bold. I have stated this a number of times above, but this is the conclusion that a person must draw from the Bible. One can tell if the Spirit of Elohim comes upon a person, because that person will be emboldened in a very correct way to do what otherwise would be both impossible and too frightening for the person to do. Not all folks prophesy; Samson didn’t. He also became bold to do the work he did (smiting Palestinians).

 

Isaiah 11:1 And a twig will exit from the stump of Jesse. And a shoot will fruit from his roots. 2And the Spirit of Yehovah will rest upon him—Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, Spirit of Counsel and Valiance, Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of Yehovah! 3And His fragrance is in the Fear of Yehovah! And He will judge—not to the appearance of His eyes. And He will correct—not to the hearkening of His ears. 4And He will judge poor ones via righteousness. And He will correct via straightness for humble‑ones of land. And He will smite land with the staff of His mouth! And He will kill the Culpable-one via the Spirit of His lips! 5And righteousness shall be the belt of His loins. And the Faith is the belt of His arming!

 

This text refers to the Spirit of Yehovah, but actually to the Seven Spirits of Yehovah mentioned by action here, and mentioned in the Book of the Revelation of Messiah Yeshua.

 

When this sevenfold Spirit rests on this twig and shoot (references I propose to Messiah, since the rest of text is about Messiah), He will judge, correct, judge, correct, smite, kill—in other words, He will do benefit for the good guys and slaughters to the bad guys. He will also be able to tell right/justice from wrong/injustice in all who come in front of Him without even hearing their claims. He will know all pertinent facts. The Spirit of Yehovah easily gives this ability.

 

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my Servant!—I will uphold via Him; My Chosen-one—My being desired! I gave my Spirit upon Him. And He shall send-out His justice to the races. 2He will not scream. And He will not carry. And He will not make-heard His voice outside. 3He will not break a broken reed. And He will not quench a dim flax [burning wick]. He will send-out justice for truth. 4And He will not dim. And He will not be broken until He will put justice into the land. And coastlands shall wait for His Teachings.

This text is related to the one directly above it in this paper, describing the work of Messiah. In this case, however, His great gentleness toward those who are almost dead (or insane) is being described (broken reed, dim flax).

 

Isaiah 59:21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yehovah. “My Spirit that is upon thee and my words that I have put in thy mouth shall not depart out of thy mouth nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed,” says Yehovah, “from now and unto Hider.”

 

Israel is a unit, a group consisting of Israelis. Yehovah has a Covenant with Israel. He will put His Spirit upon Israel. Once He does this, it is permanent, lasting as long as the planet lasts. This is a proof text for those who believe its contents and desire to know if the Israelis will only be changed at the beginning of the Millennium; the change will last throughout the Millennium.

 

Isaiah 61: Spirit of my Lords Yehovah is upon me in order that a burden of Yehovah is with me to ‘gospel’ [beneficially proclaim], “He sent me humble-[ones] to bandage to shattered-[ones] of heart, to call liberty to captured-[ones] and perspicuity-perspicuity [the ability to see through situations] to bound-[ones], 2to call a year of desirability to Yehovah and a day of vengeance to our Gods, to console all mourners, 3to put to mourners of Zion—to give to them an adornment under [in place of] an ash, oil of exultation under mourning, a wrapper of commendation under a spirit of dimness!” And He will call to them, “Rams of the righteousness!” “A planting of Yehovah to self-adorn!”

 

This text shows how important it is for one who will proclaim the Biblical proclamation of Truth to have the Spirit of ‘my Lords Yehovah’ on him. This text is about Messiah; He is the speaker in the text. The purposes of these things that He will do are for the benefit of good guys during the Tribulation. Therefore, The Spirit of Yehovah comes upon a person so that the person can benefit good guys, and even turn bad guys to good.

 

Matthew 12:18 Behold my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon Him. And He shall show justice to the Gentiles.

 

This text is a quotation of Isaiah referring to Yeshua. We have already had texts were the Spirit of Yehovah is placed on Yeshua.

 

The work of the Spirit of Yehovah will be to show justice to the races (Gentiles). Thus, the Spirit of Yehovah is the ultimate source of justice.

 

The same text is quoted in Luke in the following text:

 

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of Yehovah is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. And recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…

 

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, “The Spirit of the Holy-[One] shall come upon thee. And the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee. Therefore that holy-[One] Who shall be born from thee shall also be called Son of God.”

 

The Spirit of Yeshua came upon Miriam; the power of the Highest overshadowed her, and the Holy One was born from her.

 

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Shimon. And the same man was righteous and received-well, waiting for the Consolation of Israel. And the Spirit of the Holy-[One] was upon him.

 

The man’s name was Shimon, and this literally translates to Hearkening. He did exactly that. The man was righteous before Yehovah, and he received well—that is, he took in very sound doctrine (since doctrine is always that which is received from a god/God, and true doctrine is received from the God of the Bible). Shimon was also waiting for the Consolation of Israel. Thus, he was waiting for all of the following that are the Consolation of Israel:

 

He was waiting for Messiah Yeshua who is the Consolation of Israel

 

He was waiting for the Spirit of the Holy of Israel, the very One whom Yeshua sent once He left His mortal, physical living on earth. This is another Name for the Spirit of God.

 

He was waiting for the event when the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel came upon all Israel, for only then would Israel be consoled.

 

The Spirit of Messiah Yeshua was upon this man. Yet, he was waiting to see baby Yeshua! The same Spirit that was from Yeshua was on this man; he had no trouble identifying Yehovah’s Messiah.

 

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power after the Spirit of the Holy-[One] is come upon you. And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the land.

 

The ye are Israelis. Once the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel comes upon them, they will receive power (to do what they must—that is, to do their work). That work will include being witnesses unto Yeshua. The locations that they will be witnesses include the following:

  • Jerusalem
  • Judaea
  • Samaria

 

The uttermost part of the land—that is, of the land of Israel, and I propose, of the land on the planet including all continents (including Antarctica).

 

This power was granted to them in a permanent way, not in a temporary way. Had it been temporary, it would have been minor, since they would have done it a limited number of times, then the power would have stopped. That defies the intent of the text.

 

Many of the Charismatic churches appreciate this text as it applies to them and their members (which, of course, it doesn’t, since it is about Israelis). This group of many Charismatic churches believe and teach that the Spirit of God comes upon individuals, and they are given both power and authority to speak and do great works. After a time, those same individuals need to be ‘refilled.’ I call this the ‘Holy Spirit leak.’ (Sorry.) In Truth, the Spirit of God can come upon a person or a group temporarily to do a single work or several works. This occurred in the Bible. For example, Hannah (Samuel’s mama) prophesied, but she was not a prophetess. The Spirit of Yehovah came upon her for that one event. Yehovah places His Spirit on others in the Bible in a permanent way for tasks that must be done and that will continue throughout the person’s lifetime. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance; God doesn’t remove those gifts if they are given as gifts. This Acts event shows the giving of gifts. There is no such thing as a ‘Holy Spirit leak.’ No one needs to be refilled if the person has once been filled in a permanent way. If the filling is temporary, the Spirit of Yehovah can come upon a person for each individual event. The confusion over these things isn’t due to a complexity, but to folks not having read the Bible with care, since it shows different cases. (A person upon whom the Spirit comes for a one-time event is not Spiritually inferior or superior to another person; that has nothing to do with such things.)

 

Where the Spirit is in a Location

Isaiah 11:15 And Yehovah shall devote the tongue of the Sea of Egypt. And He shall waive His Hands upon the River. His Spirit {wind} is in Iyeem [literally, Ruins, a city in Israel]. And He shall smite him to seven brooks. And He shall make-way via shoes!

 

The Spirit of Yehovah was in a specific location (Iyeem, here). While He can be everywhere, He can also be in one place.

 

Chapter 12: When the Spirit of God is Removed

Where the Spirit Can Be Taken

Psalm 51:11 Do not cast me from-to Thy faces! And do not take the Spirit of Thy Holy-One from me!

 

This is no statement of an individual or a group; it is the statement of a location. While this may be of surprise to nearly all readers of the Bible, enough texts have locations speaking that a person who believes the Bible will believe this also. Didn’t Sodom cry out to Yehovah while its very citizens were not that troubled over the violence in her?

 

I propose that the location is Jerusalem based on Ezekiel 16’s description of Jerusalem’s birth.

 

If this is the case, a location can easily fear the removal of the Spirit of Yehovah from her. I do not find where the Spirit of Yehovah was ever removed from a Saint except temporarily (as with Samson) due to wrong usage of the power of God. Again, Yehovah’s gifts and Yehovah’s calling are both permanent. (He does remove His Spirit—the Spirit leaves—from non-Saints upon whom He temporarily sets His Spirit.)

 

If Yehovah’s Spirit leaves a location, that location becomes a wasteland and unsettled.

 

Chapter 13: When the Spirit of God is Sent

Where the Spirit is Directed

Isaiah 40:13 Who has directed the Spirit of Yehovah or has taught Him, being his counsellor?

 

This is a rhetorical question that demands an answer of, “No one!” The Only being that can direct the Spirit of Yehovah is Yehovah (that is, the Spirit of Yehovah).

 

Where the Spirit is Choreographed

Galatians 3:5 He therefore choreographs the Spirit upon you and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the Torah, or by the hearkening of faith?

 

A person can choreograph the Spirit upon another if Yehovah/Yeshua instructs to do so. The one who does this does it by one means: by the hearkening of faith.

 

Chapter 14: When the Spirit is Inhabited

Where One Prays in the Spirit

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armour of God so-that ye will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the heights. 13Therefore take the whole armour of God unto you so-that ye will be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand! 14Stand-ye therefore, having your loins girt about with Truth, and having on the thorax of righteousness, 15and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, 16taking the shield of faith above all, with which ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18always praying in the Spirit via all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints 19and for me—so-that utterance will be given unto me, so-that I will boldly open my mouth to make known the mystery of the gospel 20for which I am an ambassador in bonds—so-that I will boldly speak in this as I owe to speak.

 

This is a command to a group, not to individuals. This group is commanded to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (That would be quite strong!) This group must put on the entire armour of God—one armour for the group. This armour will give this group the ability to stand (and not fall) against the clever plots of the devil.

 

Verse 12 switches to the situation of the Israelis: “For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the heights.” Since this is the fight of the Israelis, all who join the Israelis by faith will have the same fight.

 

The purpose of taking the whole armour of God is to be able to withstand in the evil day, and to stand (and not fall).

 

The parts of the armour are described:

  • Truth: the loin girding
  • Righteousness: the thorax
  • Preparation of the Gospel of peace: shoes
  • Faith: the shield
  • Salvation: the helmet
  • The Word of God: the Spirit’s sword

 

These Saints are then commanded to always pray in the Spirit via (by means of) all prayer and supplication. If this is akin to Jude 1:20, this is praying in the Spirit of the Holy One—the same way that Messiah prayed in the Garden and will pray:

 

Matthew 26:36 Then Yeshua comes with them unto a place called Gethsemane. And He says unto the disciples, “Sit ye here while I go and pray yonder.” 37And He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with Him. And He began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 38Then He says unto them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful even unto death. Tarry ye here and watch with me.” 39And He went a little further. And He fell on His face. And He prayed, saying, “My Father! If it is possible, this cup shall pass from me! Nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou.” 40And He comes unto the disciples and finds them asleep. And He says unto Peter, “What? Couldn’t ye watch with me one hour? 41Watch and pray so-that ye won’t enter into temptation! The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42He went away again the second time. And He prayed, saying, “My Father! If this cup will not pass away from me except I drink it, Thy will be done!” 43And He came and again found them asleep. For their eyes were heavy. 44And He left them. And He went away again. And He prayed the third time saying the same words.

 

I bring this text in to show the issue of temptation, supplication, watching and perseverance. This was the Spirit in which Messiah prayed—the Spirit of Messiah. This text above was a miniature of the events that will occur during the Tribulation.

 

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Spirit of the Holy-[One], 21keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Messiah Yeshua unto everlasting life.

 

This was written to Jewish folks. The timing is the future Tribulation. The Israelis will build themselves up on their most holy (owned) faith. They will pray in the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel, Messiah Yeshua, having that selfless love by which they will give themselves to save the lives of others at the same time looking for the mercy that Messiah Yeshua will do for Israel, and that will lead to everlasting life for Israel (as a group).

 

Where One or a Group is in the Spirit

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of His!

 

This is a group immersion in the Spirit of God. If they are in the Spirit, the Spirit of God dwells in them. Thus, there is a two-way immersion! This is the Spirit of Messiah—the same Spirit that gave Him such a great love for the People of Israel.

 

Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Messiah. I am not lying in the Spirit of the Holy-[One], my conscience also bearing me witness.

 

Paul is a prophet. The words he wrote were prophetic, quotations of Messiah Yeshua.

 

“I say the truth in Messiah.” This isn’t just saying the truth; what is being spoken is in Messiah; it is infallible. Messiah is saying it. Thus, it will reflect what Messiah said and will say (contrary to what modern forms of Christianity and Judaism think the Messiah says).

 

“I am not lying in the Spirit of the Holy One.” This isn’t just refraining from lying; what is being spoken is in the Spirit of the Holy One. It is infallible. The Spirit of the Holy One of Israel is also saying this.

 

What did the prophet (Paul) say after this that was so akin to what Messiah/the Spirit expressed?

 

Romans 9:1 “I say the truth in Messiah. I am not lying in the Spirit of the Holy-[One], my conscience also bearing me witness, 2that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3For I could wish that myself were accursed from the Messiah for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh 4who are Israelites!—to whom is the ‘sonshipment’ and the glory and the Covenants, and the giving of the Torah and the service, and the promises, 5whose are the fathers and of whom is the Messiah as concerning the flesh, Who is over all—God blessed forever! Amen!”

 

This is the same love by which Messiah was willing to drink that cup rather than pour its contents (the wrath of Yehovah) on Israel.

 

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Spirit of the Holy-[One].

 

Any group or person that is in the Spirit of the Holy One will be doing works of righteousness, peace and joy.

 

Chapter 15: When the Spirit is Promised

Galatians 3:13 Messiah redeemed us from the Teaching’s curse, being made a curse for us. For it is written, “Lightly-esteemed of Elohim is a hanged-one”—14so-that the blessing of Avraham will come on the races through Messiah Yeshua, so-that we will receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The Teaching’s (Torah’s) curse is described in Deuteronomy 27. That curse is upon each individual Israeli who violates the Teaching as described in that chapter (and in chapter 28). The us are the Israelis (as is usually the case in the writings that the Spirit of Yehovah gave to Paul).

Messiah was made a curse for the Israelis by being hanged on a tree. The Torah stated that anyone hanged is lightly esteemed of Elohim; yet Yeshua was hanged. He did this in order for the blessing of Avraham to come on the races through Him, and so that the Israelis will receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

 

Ephesians 1:13 Ye are also in [Messiah] after ye hearkened to the word of Truth—the gospel of your Salvation—in whom ye were also sealed with that holy Spirit of promise after ye believed, 14Who is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the segregation, unto the praise of His glory.

Two groups are mentioned in this text. Ye refers to the Saints of Ephesus. Our refers to the Israelis.

Ye are also in Messiah after ye hearkened to the word of Truth. The Ephesian Saints were also sealed with the same Spirit of promise with Whom the Israelis are sealed once the Ephesian folks believed.

That Spirit of Messiah is the earnest (down payment) of the inheritance that the Israelis will receive. That down payment will be followed by the full reward once the segregation (Israel) is redeemed.

The idea of being segregated was taught early in the Bible:

 

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure [literally, segregated] unto me from all the peoples.

 

Chapter 16: Where the Spirit Physically Appears

Jeremiah 52:21 And the pillars—the height of the one pillar is eighteen cubit(s). And a thread of twelve cubit(s) will encircle him. And his thickness is four fingers, hollow. 22And a crown is upon him: copper. And the height of the one crown is five cubits. And a network and pomegranates are upon the crowns around. The all is copper. And to the second pillar and the pomegranates are as these. 23And the pomegranates were ninety and six, her Spirit. All the pomegranates are one-hundred upon the network around.

 

This is a text describing items that are types in the Bible—things that are real in themselves, but portray other things of far greater significance. (An example of a type is the Passover lamb or goat; it typifies Messiah’s sacrifice.) All details are important to the type. I cannot explain this type, not having studied it myself. I will propose some pieces of types in the next several paragraphs, however. (I have found answers to types in other texts; finding them takes thought, a literal rendering, and comparing with other texts in the Bible. It is like solving a puzzle.)

 

Since the text mentions her Spirit, I know that I am looking for a feminine noun to which the Spirit is linked. Pillar, thread and pomegranate are masculine, while crown and network (like screening material or the work of a wreath) are feminine. I considered the crown the object of her in “her Spirit.” Thus, the crown’s Spirit has 96 pomegranates.

 

The pomegranate is quite a type. It is a fruit with separate chambers, each chamber holding a group of seeds, each seed surrounded by an edible, juicy and sweet small portion. These portions can be separated. The chambers can also be separated. The entire fruit is in a thick skin. It gives a picture of an entire Body (of Saints), the Body sectioned off in chambers that are independent, yet are part of the whole Body. The chambers contain the seed portions, each seed portion being connected, yet separable.

 

The 96 pomegranates are the crown’s Spirit. Since the crown is made of copper, and copper typifies judgment/wrath, the Body of Saints will judge, a pillar of Yehovah’s Teaching.

 

Ezekiel 1:4 And I saw. And behold the Spirit/wind of a tempest came from the north, a big cloud and a fire taking itself. And her brightness is to him around. And from her midst is as the eye of the hastening-of-the-front from the midst of the fire.

 

This is a part of an entire text that describes the appearances of Elohim (Gods). The text gives various characteristics of Yehovah and His Messiah in physical forms, and what He will do. It is designed for children. (Some adults thought it was describing a space ship!)

 

This Spirit/wind is the Spirit of Yehovah. He has previously appeared as a cloud (the Cloud that separated the Egyptians from the Israelis when the Israelis exited from Egypt). He also appeared as fire at night.

 

Ezekiel 1:12 And they will walk—a man unto across his faces—where the Spirit will be there to walk. They will walk; they will not go-round in their walking.

 

They refer to what at first appear to be cherubim. They are actually part of the appearances of Elohim. (Thus, these beings are part of deity.) These beings walk where the Spirit will be there, also walking. These beings don’t turn; they have four faces and don’t need to turn.

 

Ezekiel 1:20 Upon whatever the Spirit will be there to walk, they will walk. The Spirit is there to walk. And the wheels will lift straight-in-front-of them. For the Spirit of the living-one is in the wheels. 21In their walking, they will walk. And in their standing, they will stand. And in their lifting from upon the land, the wheels will lift straight-in-front-of them. For the Spirit of the living-one is in the wheels.

 

The Spirit of the living one (Yeshua) is in the wheels. These wheels are huge (like in thousands of miles in diameter). The wheels have eyes all around the outer portion of the wheel rims so that the eyes are always seeing where the wheels touch the earth. As the wheels move over the earth at very great speed, the eyes see what is occurring. It is a child’s way of explaining omnipresence—being everywhere at once. The Spirit of the Living One (Yeshua) is in the wheels, so this Spirit is omnipresent and omnivident (all-seeing).

 

Ezekiel 10:17 When they stood, these stood. And when they were lifted up, these also lifted up themselves. For the Spirit of the Living-[One] was in them.

 

This refers to these ‘cherubim’ (who are really part of Yehovah). The Spirit of the Living-One is in them.

 

Chapter 17: Where Words are Spirit

John 6:63 It is the Spirit Who makes-alive. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life!

 

The Spirit of Yehovah/Messiah is the One who makes alive and gives life. Messiah’s words are Spirit, and those same words are life.

 

There is a direct connection between what one breathes out and the spirit that is inside of a person. The same is true for Messiah. What He breathes is His Spirit. He easily can breathe life into a person.

 

Chapter 18: When Different Spirits or Spirit issues are mentioned

Where Yehovah Stirs the Spirit of Someone

2 Chronicles 36:22 and Ezra 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, Yehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia that the word of Yehovah spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished. And he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing.

 

Yehovah stirs spirits of folks to get them moving on a project!

 

Ezra 1:5 Then the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites (with all them whose spirit God had raised) rose up to go up to build the house of Yehovah which is in Jerusalem.

 

These texts do not prove that the Spirit of Yehovah was their spirit, but it would be difficult to disprove this!

 

Conclusion

The Spirit of Yehovah/Yeshua is the least visible part of the God of Israel. My initial impression was that the Bible had little to say about the Spirit in contrast to Yehovah the Father and Yeshua the Messiah/Son. I was wrong. The Bible gives much information about every aspect of Yehovah the Spirit.

 

I propose that one major reason for all this information is so that careful readers will be able to distinguish between false representations of this Spirit and His workings, and the real character and works that He has done, is doing, and will do in the future. Since entire denominations have been built around incorrect understandings of the Spirit of the Biblical God, and since other denominations have made incorrect claims about this part of Yehovah, a wise Bible reader will desire to know the Truth in order to not be fooled.

 

I propose that a second major reason for all this information is to prepare folks who will go through the Biblically described Tribulation (many centuries from now) so that they will already be aware of the various works that the Spirit of God will do for those (Saints and non-saints) who will walk righteously before Him. What Yehovah the Spirit has done in the past is only a miniature of what He will do in the future, but He will only do according to the character He showed in the past.
